One of the best
Dr Samuel is one of the best physician I've ever had. He gave me a diagnosis that had eluded other doctors for 12 years. He asks questions, he listens, and as a result is an excellent diagnostician. On top of these skills, he's personable and kind.

No help, no hope
First appointment was a big disappointment. Dismissed all of my symptoms and downplayed my concerns. I was having a decent day as far as joint pain, but tried to explain that it comes and goes, that the last two weeks have been miserably painful (and it’s been that way for over a year). “Well he’s just doing an exam based on today.” Terrible bedside manner and a waste of a copay. Hoping I can find someone who can listen and help.

Don’t waste your time!
Horrible experience!! Dr Samuel was the first rheumatologist I ever visited. I was so hopeful I would finally get help and answers about what was happening to me but it was a total waste of time. He would never give me an official diagnosis. One visit I would for sure have RA or MCTD and the next visit it was all in my head. After the first and only medication he prescribed didn’t help me he informed me he no longer knew how to treat me. He actually said when I find a new Dr to stop in and let him know what they did for me. I now know I do have RA. He has a terrible bedside manner. He is very rude!

Amazing!
Best doctors appointment ever. A very thorough appointment that gave me answers I’ve been looking for for years. I cannot recommend him enough. Dr Samuel is both friendly and professional. He explained everything in terms I could fully understand. I walked out of the appointment feeling so relieved to have finally found a doctor who listens and cares.

He was combative when I was trying to tell him the history of my hip. He examined me and told me there was nothing wrong with the joint. I was told he would have my MRI results but he did not. After the exam, I got MRI results (ordered by diff doc) with all of the following present in that hip: osteoarthritis, osteonecrosis, a fracture, and fluid in the joint. Nothing wrong? Give me a break. Incompetent at best, malicious or sadistic at worst.

Went here a few years ago, and was treated like a drug addict looking for drugs. I was there because my doctor referred me because of some abnormal lab results. Completely blown away by the way this "doctor" behaved.

You feel interrogated. He was verbally abusive and tried to break me down. What he fails to know is that I’m already broke down. Or he just does not care. He asks a question and within 2 words of my answers, he cuts you off and asks another. Questions why you take the meds other doctors prescribe in an accusatory way. Doubts diagnoses of other doctors. Upon reading some of his responses to these reviews, you can tell he is sarcastic & puts down the reviewer, which is so unprofessional. I’m not sure why he feels like he has the right to belittle patients & they should feel blessed by his ill manners & put downs. He got his bedside manner from a “cracker jack box”. This is the behavior of someone with an insecurity and incompetence. Upon leaving, his staff apologized for his behavior. The staff seem scared and uneasy due to the hostility he dishes out.

First off, the receptionist, well one of them, was very rude. The nurse that came outback in the waiting room to get me, just singnaled me to come in. She was complaining about her hot flashes and was super rude. He was the same way. I will not be back whatsoever.

It was several years ago when I saw Dr. Samuels. I only saw him a few times because of his awful attitude. I was apprehensive about taking a medication and he told me I must not be too sick or I would take it. Needless to say I didn't go back to him

After 3 years of looking for answers for the cause of my illness with no resolve Dr. Samuel diagnosed me, and with proper treatment I am doing so much better. He is so kind, and he even came to the hospital when he didnt have to once to just visit my grandfather (also a patient) to make sure he was okay. He doesn't put up with flighty people who miss their appointments, and he is no nonsense, which apparently some people take as rude. He's far from rude. He will just tell it like it is.

Dr Samuels is a very knowledgeable physician. His staff on the other hand are the poorest excuse for a team I have ever encountered. Their cistomer service skills are poor. They are rude and disrespectful. As many times as I have been to their office, they still do not know me. I would almost bet that if Dr Samuels replaced his nurse and receptionist, his client base would increase.
