Dr. Steven Grijalva, MD

My son had a hard fall on ice and broke both bones in his left forearm while skiing in North Carolina. Dr. Grijalva came through for our family in that he was able to put his arm back together again using two plates with an expected outcome of zero deficits and 100% recovery. Not only is he an incredibly dedicated orthopedic surgeon with 20 years experience, but one of the nicest and most patient people on the planet who truly cares about his patients and their families. He is without question a rock star provider in every respect that I would not hesitate to recommend unequivocally. On behalf of my son and our entire family, we wish to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Grijalva and his team for the amazing work, care, and consideration that will result in his full-recovery.

My son 32 yr old was attacked in jail resulting in broken hip, foot etc… The surgery middle of Nov 2024 failed. His order for non weight bearing was never followed. I am mother and POA medical. I called Dr nurse 1-20-25 to pay for an appointment to talk with the surgeon. I explained that I was willing to pay out of pocket to supply him with the needed care. The nurse explained to me ,the Dr cannot order rehab and that that would have to go through the jail and they would have to agree. I’m a retired nurse and do know. The Doctor normally writes the orders not the other way around. I made appointment with another Doctor to explain my sons situation. He advised me to do what I could to get my son either in rehab/ home etc to provide much needed care. He has many more complicated medical diagnoses yet will not explain. The fact that I was not allowed to discuss the needs of my son has been very traumatic and as a mother , I will continue as any loving mother would. He is an adult but has no voice and is afraid to speak up, due to consequences in his position. SAD

Dr Grijalva took great care of me & fixed my broken hip. He is a Great Trauma Surgeon Specialist!
