Approval of colleagues matter more than you
Made fun of me repeatedly (in front of my dr. husband), rolled her eyes frequently, made light of what I cared about, laughed at my disabilities, when I tried to explain myself in writing, she ignored my comments, and continued searching for ways to punish me. Humiliating. A year later and I still have nightmares of her. I have decided not have any tests; I'd rather die than have to interact with any medical person ever again.

depends on what you want in a PCP
OK if you are looking for a straight arrow, no-nonsense, tell it like it is M.D. Not particularly empathetic, humorous or relaxed. She will attempt to whip you into shape however unpleasant it may be! If you are looking for textbook lifestyle and health recommendations.... she is your gal!

Dr Killip and her NP both showed signs of fatphobia. Despite having been on a medication that can cause some mild weight gain, Dr Killip brought up my weight multiple times and encouraged me to see a nutritionist and focus on my portion control. I never mentioned any issues with my portion control or concerns about my diet. No legitimate health metrics, such as cholesterol, blood pressure, insulin, etc were discussed related to my weight. Just my weight. It was only after the appt was over that I even remembered that the medication I take might be a reason for the slow and steady gain.

Professional in a relaxed and comfortable manner. I saw her because I wanted to rule out the flu. Though her thermometer registered normal (mine said 100 g- 102) and the flu test was negative she listened, got it, supported me, and gave me honest options.

She's a wonderful doctor--really listens and cares. Good diagnostician. Sometimes the wait is long, but it's because she's giving great care to the previous patient; she's worth waiting for.
