Dr. Sarah Abbot, DO

I love Dr. Abbot. She's kind, listens and always asks my opinion. She refers me to various experts as appropriate and I usually leave with a smile.

Listens to you and helps you figure out the best way to treat the issues.

I tried to get an appointment with a PCP to see an OBGYN due to complications with my pregnancy, I was concerned that there was unusual amount of bleeding. She said I likely had a miscarriage and seemed pretty sure of it, but had an hcg test taken to be sure. I was completely devastated but it turns out I was not miscarrying, I was still pregnant but that was fine, she's not an expert in pregnancy issues. I continued to persist about seeing a specialist and she was completely disengaged during the back and forth and would not write me a referral and obstructed my health care almost on purpose. She won't answer any of my questions, and the only comment she had for a secondary hcg test was that the number doubled and I should see an OB. Still, I cannot reach her for a referral. I am not sure if it was my age, ethnic background, or the fact that she was initially mistaken about my miscarrage that rubbed her the wrong way I do not know. DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR.

As a women and someone with ADHD it can be tough to find a good doctor. In the past I've had doctors who leave me feeling embarrassed for asking certain questions, whether it's regarding reproductive health, or ADHD medications. Dr. Abbot however is different! She is the first primary care I've had that I feel completely comfortable asking questions. She is very professional and warm, and actively listens without judgement. She always provides helpful, and clear-cut information, with the best possible solution for you. She also remembers me whenever I come in for my appointments and asks how things are going based on our last conversation, in a way that reflects she cares. In my opinion, she is the gold standard for what every primary care doctor should be and I plan to have her as mine for a long time.

Dr. Abbot is one of a kind. After just moving to the state I brought my almost 16 year old daughter to see her as a new general practitioner and we both couldn’t be more grateful to have found Dr.Abbot. She is friendly, professional, extremely intelligent and so personable. She went above and beyond for my daughter. She is real and transparent. I can’t say enough about our experience - I highly recommend Dr. Abbot.

I was looking for a new primary and was lucky enough to be scheduled with Dr Abbot. I can’t remember the last time I had a doctor really take the time to listen to me and spend time talking with me and exploring my healthcare options. Most doctors talk to their patients but Dr Abbot talks with us. I left the visit feeling like I just made a new friend.

Love her! She’s super thorough, listens, and is very easy to talk to. I wish we were friends in real life. By comparison, other providers I’ve visited have been disappointing. Their skill and knowledge might have been fine, but with Dr. Abbot, I feel heard, respected, and walk out feeling good like I just left the salon not the doctor.
