Horrible experience at UCI Medical Center. Diagnosed with vertebral osteomyelitis by Dr. Kiester. After 10 days I was discharged to a rehab for physical therapy. Long story short, after 10 days there I was on my deathbed. Dr. Bao at Cedars Sinai scheduled me for back surgery without seeing me, just by seeing the same tests that Dr. Keister saw when he discharged me. Over a year later I’m better than new. NO THANKS to Dr. Kiester.

I had the good fortune of being assigned to Dr Keister in the ER in L.A. many years ago. The injury to my ankle was serious and unusual and required a lot of skill to repair. His was able achieve the best possible outcome for me in surgery and in the almost 30 years since, I have relatively little pain, a normal gait, and can hike several miles overcoming the not so great prognosis I was given post recovery. I couldn’t recommend Dr Keister more highly.

8 weeks post spine surgery and couldn't be happier with the results. He did a beautiful job on my scar, my posture has greatly improved, and I'm told I look more youthful (bonus!). He's a excellent doctor, and I'm extremely pleased.

Dr. Kiester repaired a pathological fracture of my C3 vertebra. The operation was extremely difficult and many bad things could have happened to me during the operation. The operation was a complete success; he gave me my life back. On top of everything, he showed a good, dry, sense of humor that I appreciated greatly.

Dr Keister and his team ultimately saved my life by giving me my life back ! After 5 years of hell after an injury which included 2 previous unsuccesfull surgeries. He found major issues on top of the ones I knew about. The thing about these injuries he found is that the 10 other surgeons I had seen before him did not see these huge issues ! After surgery I looked forward to seeing his smiling face every morning. That's very rare with surgeons. You saved my life. FOREVER GRATEFUL Melinda

I was required to have a range of motion test performed to present to a Naval Medical Board, relating to an injury resulting in degenerative disc disease and nerve damage. I showed (and explained the importance of the wording) to Dr. Keister the wording required containing the key phrases needed for the letter to be received by the Naval Medical Board. He ignored my request and his resultant write-up ignored key phrasing resulting in loss of all my retirement pay, benefits, and insurance.
