Wow...a doctor who listens
Dr Gildener-Leapman listened to my expressed and implied questions and was very patient answering them. He was clear in his explanations and the pros and cons of different treatment options. He also has a sense of humor!

I am an educated, middle-aged, professional and I was truly shocked by his attitude towards me. He was rude, pompous, and dismissive. I never leave reviews but honestly, I have to say this is the worst medical experience I have had. His demeanor was that of a cocky, spoiled, bratty teenage boy. He had a medical student with him and she apologized to me when he left the room. The office staff are rude as well and won't provide my PCP with the records she needs. Find someone else.

Great Doctor
Dr. Gildener-Leapman performed my thyroid surgery after I was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer. As an MD myself, I can say that he is very knowledgeable in terms of ENT medicine. My surgery outcome was excellent and was back to work within a few days. He was also personable, answering my questions and listening to my concerns.

Dr.Gildener-Leapman was exceptional in his care of my wife. He is very smart and he is honest (which isn't that common in this day and age of a money hungry medical community!) He took the time to actively listen to our concerns and I didn't feel at all rushed. Overall, a good and helpful treatment.

I wouldnt recommend this Dr. to anyone. He was arrogant, dismissive and basically made me feel like I was making things up to get a certain diagnosis. Told me he'd order tests but only to basically prove he was right. NEVER again!

Dr. Leapman is the best in his field. He literally changed the quality of my life by doing an operation 3 other doctors out right told me it was too difficult for them to do. The operation was to remove a very large torus on the roof of my mouth which was making my life a nightmare. Dr. Leapman didn't hesitate for a minute to say he could do the operation. I knew in the first 5 minutes that I was in good hands and I was right. The operation turned out even better then expected.

My Husband had laryngeal cancer return after radiation therapy. Dr. Leapman helped discuss the the options for treatment, and helped reduce my anxiety. Ultimately my husband had a Larynectomy surgery with Dr. Leapman. It was difficult, but he was with us every step. Dan in albany did a great job with swallowing therapy. He is now cancer free and we are very grateful to the whole team (even the students).

I don't generally leave reviews but he is just a bad doctor. I have no trust in him. He didn't listen to anything I said or asked. All he told me were the things he wasn't going to do. He basically said my issues were not sinus related despite the records from the primary showing consistent problems. Thankfully I only had a few visits but they were a complete waste of time.
