The initial visit was ok--it was not too hard to schedule. but when I was trying to schedule a colonoscopy (it is completely authorized service by the doctor, no issues with insurance or whatsoever)------It seems like his office in Arcadia is also impossible to be reached on the phone. I never got a call back when the receptionist promised to call back. Yup, and I got the same excuse that my information was not found. Another excuse was the internet/ online system was down.

If referred by your HMO, ask for another doctor. Just Google Dr. Chu and you'll see the horror stories.

The office run by Cathy is a joke. She lies and does not call back. I met doctorChu and he was nice and gave me instructions to call back in 2 months for the procedure colonoscopy. I called and Cathy AND SHE said that I was no where to be found in the system and she blamed someone in the office. She said she would call me back. After 6 times calling that office and she promising to call me back I concluded that she is unprofessional and uncaring. I would fire her ASAP . 0 trust

Dr Chu is nice, amiable, BUT the secretary Cathy, has no sense of urgency and is not helpful. Telephone always keeps ringing and your voice messages don't get acknowledged because you don't get a call back. Once, she promised to call again because she was attending to another client, but lo and behold, nothing from her... Always at their convenience. They don't consider the stress patients undergo...scheduling is next to impossible. Need to change MD soon. :(
