Saved our Mother’s life
Dr. Aqel profoundly impacted our lives. His actions have been so significant that it would take a lifetime to express our gratitude, and even then, it wouldn't be enough. Dr. Bashar Aqel saved our mother’s life. He gave her the chance to see her youngest son get engaged and her eldest son grow his family with his first newborn son. He provided us with these precious moments. On 06-.17.2024, it will be a year since our mother underwent a double organ transplant, saving her life. We consulted over 100 doctors, 99 of whom deemed my mom too deconditioned for surgery. But on April 11th, Dr. Bashar Aqel listened and decided to evaluate her personally. This led us to drive 44 plus hours to Mayo Clinic Scottsdale. From the first moment, we saw the difference in care. Meeting Dr. Bashar reassured us. Dr. Bashar, words can’t express our gratitude. We will forever be thankful, and may God bless you for all the lives you’ve saved.Thank youThe Dababneh Family

Dr. Aqel saved my husband‘s life. He helped my husband heal his liver fibrosis, and cirrhosis., while everyone said it could not be done. My husband has just had his seventh anniversary of his diagnosis of HCC metastasized liver cancer. He has beat the odds and is once again in remission. We look forward to many years ahead with Dr. Aqel. We are out of state, and we love how he coordinates with our local doctors. He is an amazing doctor and a wonderful person. We truly love this man.

Dr. Aqel is the best Doctor I have ever known. I had a liver transplant 5 years ago, and he has saved me through every challenging situation I have faced, including a rejection of my new liver during the first few weeks after transplant surgery. He later diagnosed a very rare and excruciatingly painful reaction I had to a medication, and saved my life in doing so. I am alive and well now due to his excellence both in the medical Profession and as an extraordinary human being.
