Excellent neurosurgeon
I had surgery for pinched nerve, and it went so well, I could hardly believe it. I am 74 and expected to have a longer recovery, but incision has practically healed and pain very minimal thoughout. Nerve pain completely gone immediately. Dr. Weiner performed surgery on my husband and several people from our church and all have nothing but praise for him. I would never hesitate to recommend him.

Had MRI on lower back that shows displaced vertebrae in lumbar spine with discs herniated and bulging with weakness in both thighs. Dr Weiner told me there was nothing wrong with my spine saying it was normal for a make in late 40s. He kept saying I'm a neurosurgeon the whole time I had questions. He has a massive God complex. He left me with more questions than I have answers. I feel like I was treated differently because I'm a medicaid patient.

I saw Dr Weiner five years ago for back pain, neuropathy in my lower extremities. I had an MRI done at another hospital stating I had bulging discs in three places in my lower spine and narrowing. He didn't approve of my MRI and they called me at 530 that evening saying he wanted me to rush back to Canton (an hour drive) to do one at aultman. He told me I didn't have herniated discs(even after a discogram) and that it was just spinal stenosis. He did a laminectomy. Very arrogant. After surgery not good follow-up care. Pain recurred within 3 months and I've had it since and is worsening. Will not go back to this Dr who was highly recommended by my ex neurologist from Canton also!!!!

Do not bother. Dismissive, rude, and full of himself. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I have never felt so mistreated at what is supposed to be an office that helps you; EVER. The only bright spot is his nurse, who is very sweet. Hopefully a surgeon with some common sense and bedside manner cherry picks her out of that hellhole.

I feel very fortunate to have such a talented, personable neurosurgeon in Stark County. Dr. Weiner removed a tumor from my lumbar spinal canal which had a very successful outcome. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing neurosurgery! Susan Pero, East Canton

I’m so thankful for Dr. Weiner. Let me just say He was very clear and straight with the condition of my health and back that were out of his control. He promised me nothing, BUT delivered everything. Every nurse I spoke with sang his praises and we all know NURSES see it ALL! I’m so thankful I found him!!!! He is the man you want handling such delicate services. I just wish I could give him more stars because he’s given me so much!

worst experience ever I was called into office two weeks early 1st appointment with this doctor. Didn't read any of my records, couldn't view my CD from MRI results. Came into office with an attitude a mile wide, said he couldn't see any reason I was having the pain I was describing. I have a herniated L5S1 as well as cervical spine issues. He stated my pain is not in line with those conditions !!!! really?. Then calls me days later and says I need to do nothing and he can't help me .

Dr. Weiner has a very straight forward manner. He doesn't joke around or make small talk. This might bother some but I found it rather refreshing. He explained my problem, showed it on the MRI, and explained my options, limited though they were. His work was obviously very good since I have no more pain and am back to work with no problems. What a great job!

After waiting over an hour, he spent less than 5 minutes with me. He was rude, arrogant and unprofessional. I was very disappointed in Dr. Weiner. Save yourself the hassle.

Did surgery on my neck. Everyone at the hospital and rehabilitation center were very impressed with how the incision looked even immediately after surgery. The pain has been removed and my mobility is greatly increased. Good surgeon.

Having a major surgery on your spine can be very scary, but Dr. Weiner alleviated all fears. He was very professional and straight-forward during the consult. His care during and after surgery while I was in the hospital was excellent. I had a few problems, related to blood pressure and blood loss. He addressed those needs and was very concerned for me and kept myself and my husband informed of treatment options. I would recommend Dr. Weiner to friends and family. A very positive experience!
