Excellent
I saw Taylor (PA) and Dr. Whitbeck today. Both were fantastic. I need to have an involved back surgery. They spent a long time with me, wasn’t rushed. Went over risk and benefits. Going to get myself in the best condition I can and have it done around 6 months from now. Very caring and answered all my questions. I really liked both. Don’t go by others, make your own judgement. I am glad I did.

Dr. Gordon Whitbeck was the only doctor that would take the time to listen to me about the extreme back pain I was having. After diagnois he was so concerned about my emotional state to have the surgery and concern about my recovery being that I had just recently lost my husband and having guardianship of a grandchild. I can't be more thankful for him taking the time to explain the procedure. I am still recovering but feel 97% better. I am getting my life back. Thank you so much Dr. Whitbeck

Don't trust him.. he apparently did not know that the chiropractor already showed me the MRI. Claimed my neck looks pretty normal but I saw the MRI. You can clearly see the disc pressing into the spine.

I would highly recommend Dr Whitbeck and his team to anyone. After trying less invasive treatments for a herniated disc, I had surgery to replace the disc. Within TWO days I was PAIN FREE and back to my regular activities that the three years prior I was unable to do. The entire team treated me very well every step of the way, including the secretaries! I also really appreciate Jonathan Scott PA as he took the time to actually listen and hear my opinion, wants and needs.

A cellar dwelling doctor, and I use dr. hesitantly. The old story feel bad about yourself treat people poorly then feel better about yourself. Maybe lacks confidence in himself as a dr. so necessitates him being nasty, nasty, nasty. Who knows. And then one gets billed for his nastiness.

I was wheelchair bound from herniated discs when I went to see Dr. Whitbeck. I had extreme nerve pain and the only thing left was surgery. When I awoke from the surgery my leg pain was gone and I could walk again! This man gave me back my quality of life. I can't thank you enough!

Dr. Whitbeck took the time to explain to me my options. He was a second opinion and I knew in the first five minutes that I was going to continue my care with him. He offered me conservative options to try before rushing into a big surgical procedure. As it turned out, I didn't need surgery at this time and got relief from physical therapy. I strongly recommend that you see this surgeon and not get pushed into a big surgical procedure.

I saw Dr. Whitbecks PA first and Kimberly was amazing. This girl knew her stuff and she had a great personality. I was given the option to wait and meet Dr.Whitbeck or I could wait until the day of surgery to meet him. I opted for the latter. The day of surgery I met him and he was wonderful. He was easy to talk to and was smiling and more than happy to answer questions. Dr. Whitbeck fixed me. My foot and right leg have been numb for months. He fixed the herniated disc. Thank you. Great staff.

I have never had a worse visit with a surgeon, and I have had plenty of those. I understand that surgeons tend to not have great interpersonal skills, but this guy was unprepared, refused to discuss prognosis or treatment options and responded to my questions as if they were stupid. He spent most of the visit repeatedly interrogating me about my pain levels as if he was trying to catch me in a lie. Avoid this doctor!

Dr. WHITBECK and Jonathan, PA are wonderful at what they do, but their office staff is awful. They don't advocate, have compassion or take the take to speak to you. I've never had as much trouble at a doctor's office than I have here.

I found my experience with Dr. Whitbeck to be one of the worst experiences ever with any physician I had been to. Total lack of concern. Unwilling to listen to my concerns, and total disregard for the opinion of a nerve conduction specialist, whose results were identical to the opinion of his PA, on my first visit there. Told me basically, that I had nothing of major concern wrong and there was nothing he could do for me and pretty much "shoved me out the door". Totally unprofessional.

I had a fragmented piece of herniated disc in my neck. This was pressing against the nerve bundle on my spine. Dr. whitbeck removed the fragment. This was 4 weeks ago. I no longer have numbness in my arm and the headaches I had for 24 years are gone. I am still recovering from the surgery and have pain from where the muscles and tissue were cut through, but feel like a new woman after suffering for so long. I am very pleased with the outcome of my surgery.

I saw the PA at first who told me I would see the doctor after she talked with him. The MRI clearly showed the disc pressing against the spinal cord. She came back and said surgery wouldn't help with any of my pain or symptoms. I can't believe he said that while other surgeons stated the opposite. Glad he's not doing the surgery!
