Dr. Louis Decaro, DPM

I saw Dr. Decaro for plantar fibromas. I could barely walk when I saw him. After custom orthotics and thorough explanation of my foot issues, I finally understood why I have had problems for so many years and no other doctor had helped me in the past. I am finally taking walks again and I can stand on my feet for much longer than I had been able to for the past year. I highly recommend Dr. Decaro. He and his staff are very pleasant, as well as the woman who careful customized my orthotics for me.

This is a well-run office, friendly staff, wait times not too long. Dr. DeCaro has a system for analyzing feet that seems quite helpful and leads to the making of custom orthotics which, while pricey, seem to offer me much more effective support than previous orthotics did. Dr. DeCaro is pleasant, friendly, very knowledgeable and willing to answer all questions.

Everyone I dealt with in Dr. DeCaro's office was friendly and helpful. Dr. DeCaro has a big personality and a friendly manner. He showed that he'd read my intake form when he greeted me with a friendly question about my pre-retirement job. He answered all my questions, gave me lots of information, very clearly, and, since I'd already tried other methods over several years to get rid of my toenail fungus, he offered to remove my fungal toenail right then and there, on my first visit. I'm glad I said yes. After the numbing shots the removal was painless, and I left the office with handouts explaining after-care and found that what the doctor told me was accurate: I had no problem driving or walking that day and thereafter. I wish I'd taken the time in the office to understand clearly the after-care, but my email requesting clarification led to a call from Dr. DeCaro, who explained what I needed to know. After a few months of toe pain, it's been a treat to walk comfortably!

I was dreading having to go to the podiatrist. I had a bad ingrown nail and it hurt so bad. Somebody I knew told me about Dr. Decaro. I called and the office staff is always beyond helpful, and got an appt. The day came and in walks this tall guy. I was so scared but he made it so simple. He numbed my toe with some cold spray so I didn’t feel the needle the whole way and then he fixed it. 5 minutes and done. No pain. Every time I have a problem, his staff, his nurse and of course he is amazing. I would never go anywhere else!

Dr. DeCaro and staff are very professional and friendly. Dr. DeCaro took time and care in answering all my questions and helped me decide what form of treatment would be right for me. I feel very comfortable here.

As a patient for over 3 years, staff provided me with no flexibility in scheduling to help trouble shoot some issues with my orthotics from their office (one date and time, end of story, no choices, period). I would have to take an unpaid day off from work in order to have this done. Most staff has been unpleasant in the past. I was turned away (as an existing patient) in 2019 when I thought I reinjured a past heel fracture (and told I had to go to the emergency room--seriously!); and I was not notified in advance of my last office visit that a primary care referral had expired (therefore, if one was not received that day I may be responsible for the visit cost out of pocket). Finally, I was sent a notice regarding my own personal health information over my personal NON HIPPA SECURE EMAIL! I am in the medical field and never in my 15 years of practice have I even sent personal medical information in a non HIPPA secure fashioon such as a patient portal or certified mail-!

Very fast. Everyone is professional. Dr. DeCaro is easy to talk to, genuinely cares about his patients and remembers details from their lives and medical history. I have been a patient for over 15 years and am quite satisfied.

Great care. Dr.Decaro was great, his staff very friendly and accommodating. I left with clear expectations on my healing and a great understanding of what my problem was. I wish I had seemed out his care sooner.

Dr. Decaro has been a god-sent for our son’s foot issue since birth. Our son was born with tibial torsion. We went to Shriner’s, Boston Children’s and Connecticut Children’s. Only Dr. Decaro was able to figure-out that shoe inserts were the answer. Not surgery, not “learn to live with it” non of that. Our family will forever be grateful that Dr. Decaro is Dr. Decaro because he has changed our child’s life for the better!

As per usual, the visit was prompt and Dr Daniel is just the best. He explains things very well and takes his time to do the job right.

There is always an excellent experience in going there - with friendly helpful staff - have not had any wait time experience, if I'm not taken right on time, it will be early. Dr. Decaro is very helpful and professional. I see him on a regular basis because I have a lot of neuropathy (post-post-chemo, 17 years now) plus Type II Diabetes. I couldn't do without my regular visits with him.

Always a positive experience

This was a follow up visit after I received a cortisone shot in my foot for arthritis. The entire staff was wonderful. I was seen in a timely fashion and received superb treatment. I love this office!

Dr. Decaro took care of me in a professional and friendly manner. In my opinion, he did a fine job of caring for my toe infection and giving me precise instructions for home care. Definitely recommended.

Dr. DeCaro is excellent. I always recommend him to anyone looking for podiatry care. The staff is extremely helpful and always super nice. It is always a pleasure to go into the office.

Everyone I interacted with at the practice was warm, friendly, and present in our interactions. I felt listened to and understood. Dr. Paknia provided helpful explanations for the pain I was experiencing and sent me home with resources for reading and reference in addition to providing excellent in-office care.

Dr DeCaro is an amazing human . He is kind , compassionate and makes you feel completely at ease I finally after months , have major relief from my foot issues after one visit and it’s only going to get better in time. I highly recommend this Dr in particular although the entire staff I dealt with was welcoming and pleasant .
