Dr. Junaid Kamal, MD

My experience was not so great. I just moved here and was being treated medically by a reputable pain specialist in Dallas. The Dr did not agree to my previous treatment and wrote me a prescription for a patch to help with withdrawals. He repeatedly asked me the same questions over and over in a condescending manner. Berated me for not having insurance (which I was waiting on COBRA enrollment to activate) and for not carrying my previous records with me, which were still packed and I was under the impression they already had since they had spoken to my previous drs office and agreed to see me. I’m not really sure why they agreed to see me. So, all of that cost me $350 out of pocket. I can’t say how he might treat someone who was not being treated with narcotics since we never got that far, but I can say if you’re being treated with them, save your money. I was not impressed with the cleanliness of the office and the ladies behind the desk spoke to each other in Spanish.

He was a replacement for a Doctor that had left. He wanted to take me off my pain medication and wanted to control my pain with injections. Didn't care that I already had been through 15 sets of injections that didn't work. He doesn't listen to you or read your records. I will never return and am going to the previous Doctor I had. He won't have any patients left if he treats all of them this way!

Awful experience, he is a new doctor at the place my old doctor left from and he told me I had to have elective surgery, so I left and won't be back there.
