Oh my God, what a doctor to be so intelligent
I went to more than four doctors and they were all experimenting with my feet, it wasn't until I went to doctor Juan Romero Basso who found what I had on my feet, very intelligent, very polite, he treated me with love, he spoke correctly what he was going to work for me in surgery. On the fourth day of my foot surgery with a broken tendon, I began to feel total improvement, my pain was removed, I spent about two months and three weeks with a cast to immobilize my feet, my surgery was great, it was to fix the tendon, lift the arch and also repair the Achilles tendon, all his staff is very friendly, especially Pedro, very compassionate with patients, good treatment and very friendly, the important thing about all this is that they empathize with the patient, Dr. Juan Romero Basso I recommend him 100% if you have problems with your feet, don't hesitate to visit him, don't experience what happened to me, but thank God I got where he is! recommended!

I don't recommend it
Terrible service for more than a year with swollen foot pain, cramps, numbness I have 2 ligaments with chronic rupture and he told me that it is normal that many have that injury that uses an ankle brace that he has been using one for more than 20 years, definitely many specialists don't care about the patient's pain, his sense of humanity has been lost.

On 1998 he performed a subtalar Arthrodesis ( ankle fusion ) know on 2019 he performed a Morton Neuroma removal, hammer toe correction and Metatarsalgia on the fifth metatarsal, all this because of my degenerative arthritis and effects of walking with a ankle fusion. As always his team from his office assistant , his orthopedic technician and himself excedes the typical surgeon patient relation. This is my 8th surgery in 25 years in that foot so I have a little knowledge on how surgeons patient relation can be. He always treat you as if you were his only patient not a record number as most surgeons. From my experience with other ankle foot surgeons in Puerto Rico and some in the continental US, I can assure you he is one of the best.

I will not recommend Dr. Romero-Basso. My experience was unpleasant and disappointing. I was treated with lack of empathy and was profoundly impressed at his poor knowledge explaining the treatment needed, evading answering questions, his bed side manner and most of all, his honesty. It almost cost me more than what I am willing to accept and give as quality of life. Following his professional opinion led to problem worsening. I will advise a second opinion if you seek his professional help.
