Highly disappointing
Our son has profound intellectual disabilities, Autism Level 3 with complex medical issues. Our son saw Dr. Petfield March 2021. This was supposed to be a second opinion because the first doctor at another hospital never saw our son. Instead of getting a new x-ray, Dr. Petfield went by the other doctor's notes w/o even coming to his own conclusion. Furthermore, he blamed our son's autism diagnosis for behaviors as though our son cannot possibly be in pain because he has autism. He went on to say how his wife works in the autism field as a behavioral consultant & referred our son to Pennstate's Developmental Pediatrician. Our son already has an excellent pediatrician as well as other specialist. Dr. Petfield also said that our son's psychiatrist stated it was psychiatric which was a lie! We consulted with our son's psychiatrist, pediatrician, immunologist, rheumatologist, etc & everyone is in agreement that it is medical. This man has no business working with individuals w/disabilities.
