He always asks how you have been at the beginning of each visit and does an exam. He asks questions and reviews things. I have always had a good experience with him and his staff in person and with televisits.

Referred here by my PCP. Shortly before my original appointment I mentioned that I had had a CoVID exposure ten days prior. That appointment was rescheduled in spite of a lack of positive tests or symptoms. Unfortunately, as a special-needs parent, a series of circumstances surrounding my kid’s return to school made me miss the appointment. I was surprised to I receive a call asking if I was on site - I had made a mistake. The rescheduled appointment was not in my calendar and I had missed a reminder call. I called moments later, very apologetic and begged for another appointment, but was told the doctor is “a stickler for rules“ and will not allow second chances for missed appointments. Even after multiple explanations, apologies and my authorizing them to bill my insurance for the missed appointment (and reminding them why my original appointment was “missed” at their discretion). This is a doctor who cares more about his rules than patient care.

Dr. O'Connell is brilliant. I mean that literally. He is thorough, and meticulously professional. He can be rather abrupt, but I think that's a byproduct of the fact that he's so intelligent. Both myself and my late husband have seen him. I wouldn't go to anyone else. That said, if you want a doctor who sugarcoats things and treats you gingerly this is not the guy to go to. If you want a truthful accurate assessment of your problem then you're all sset.

Dr O'Connell is definitely dedicated to find the core of the issue. He will order tests necessary, and he himself will call you back if you need to leave him a message. He pays attention to what you say and takes notes. You can tell him the stangest symptoms you having, he won't look at you like you are crazy.

Dr. O'Connell is a miracle in my life. The neurological pain was unbearable. It was to the point where I was seriously considering ending my life. However, a friend recommended him to me into making an appointment. Dr. O'Connell listened, administered a neurological test, analyzed the tests, and with each test he explained why he was doing it. Finally, he explained his findings to me. Then, the miracle! No more pain! I am looking forward to living a long time. Thank you, Dr. O'Connell.

He took the time to listen to my issues. He asked me to explain my symptoms in detail, instead of me just giving him medical terms of what I thought I had. He took what I had to say seriously and set me up for the appropriate procedures to check what may be causing my symptoms.
