I saw dr Mitchell when he was in Columbia he did surgery on my foot had problem but he had a back up CD plan it wasn’t anything he CD did wrong I would recommend him to everyone that needs a good podiatrist going to make CD appointment with him soon CD as I can nothing to do with my last visit

Dr. Mitchell has taken are of foot/ankle surgeries for both of my girls and most recent me! I broke (unbeknownst to me) a toe on a Fri. night and when I sent him pics on Sat. morning, he wouldn't let me wait until Mon. to see me, but instead met me at his office and treated me! This level of service is unheard of these days, but that is just who Dr. Mitchell is...truly one of a kind!

I've seen Dr. Mitchell four times. I was impressed the minute he walked into the room. He was very friendly, and concerned about me. I had swelling in my feet and legs. He spent time with me and explained everything. He treated me for fungus in my toes. I have improved, and on my way to recovery. Just a plus!! The best Doctor that I have ever been to!

Amazing! I was only I think 10 or so almost eleven when he did surgery to fix my collapsed arches! He and the staff where so nice! And patient with my squirrely mind! I remember he would talk to my dad about football every chance he did and my dad’s schedule! I truly am grateful for him because my arch was bad I had none left basically then sooner or later I was back to me!

He was absolutely wonderful. I was very nervous with a very very bad ingrown nail. I couldn’t have been more happy with his patience, kindness and wonderful bedside manner.

After a year of feeling like another DPM was dismissing my problem, I found Dr. Mitchell. Before he even suggested a potential diagnosis, he listened. Leading up to surgery and after surgery, he continued to listen. To truly feel seen and heard by a Doctor is rare. He's also a straight shooter. He doesn't inflate or deflate the issues at hand. And finally, he's a fantastic surgeon. My surgery went flawlessly. Highly highly recommend him!

Dr. Mitchell is a skilled doctor and surgeon. He explained with words and photos my injury and patiently offered me several care options. I opted for surgery despite having a similar surgery only 9 months prior. The evening of my surgery, he called to check on me. three-weeks post surgery, I'm able to participate in all the activities I desire-- without pain! Dr. Mitchell clearly cares about his patients, is passionate about his profession, and only gives the best care. I highly recommend Dr. Mitchell and his practice.

Dr. Mitchell did my bunion surgery in January and all went amazingly well. I am back to leading a very active pain free lifestyle. I love that the scar barely shows because I wear a lot of open toed heels. I have no concerns with having the other foot done by Dr. Mitchell because I have complete trust in his competence as a doctor/surgeon. There are other qualities that I deem as important as professional competency and Dr. Mitchell possesses those qualities as well. He has a very warm and calm personality along with a great sense of humor. I can attest to the fact that he is also seems to be a very patient man because I'm pretty sure I asked a million questions and he never made me feel like I was a bother. He never rushes you and always spends as much time as you require. Additionally, his staff is such a delightful group of people who greet you with a friendly smile and always take a keen interest in how you are doing. You will never regret making an appointment with Dr. Mitchell!

After 2 years of pain in both feet due to extreme flat feet, my PCP suggested that I make an appointment with the best in Nashville - Dr. Mitchell. He was able to just look at my feet and see how much help I needed. I'm 3 months postop and I am THRILLED with his work. I know I still need the other foot done but my quality of life has drastically improved because of his amazing talent and knowledge. I will not trust anyone else with my feet from now on PERIOD. FYI - he really does care about his patients. He's approachable, friendly, understanding and accommodating (FaceTime with my Mother...that's accommodating). Dr. Mitchell changed my life. I have been to countless doctors, all who have given me orthotics, braces, boots, and more. He is the only person who told me honestly that the best course of action would be surgery: a reconstruction of each foot. Although daunting, the experience was seamless and could not have gone better. One thing I distinctly remember: I was on the operating table, barely awake, and the nurses gave me a heated blanket when I was cold and told me to count to ten (as I am sure the sedative was kicking in). I saw Dr. Mitchell come in, and he gave my foot a little pat and it made me feel so comfortable and made me smile (not to mention the big black smiley face he drew on my foot). I still remember how that made such a difference in my stress levels. I look forward to every appointment. He cares so much about what he does and I will never forget the impact he has made on my life!

I couldn’t be more grateful for Dr. Mitchell and the team at Advance Foot and Ankle. Another podiatrist referred me to him for treatment of severe bunions. I had two surgeries completed this year. At my consultation Dr. Mitchell explained the cause of my foot pain, treatment options, details of the recommended surgery and answered all of my questions. (I had a list!) He is thorough and informative with each appointment. His assistant, Nick, is always friendly and attentive as well. My anesthesiologist and nurses loved him and noted that I was getting “custom feet by Mitchell”! Prior to my surgery I experienced pain from simply putting shoes on. My daily quality of life has improved and I look forward to being active again.
