Dr. Hoyt Doak IV, MD

I have seen Dr Doak 4 times now. Once when I had to go to the ER when I was in septic shock bc of a blocked ureter due to a kidney stone. Then once after I recovered from septic shock as a pre-op appointment. Then again for surgery. And then a follow up. All four appointments went perfectly. Dr Doak was very communicative. I understood everything that was explained to me. He answered all of my questions. He even checks to make sure I don’t have questions if I don’t ask any lol. He’s friendly. He smiles. I read a review that said he seemed cold. But maybe he was just having an off-day that day? Maybe someone just killed his dog with their car? Because 4 out of 4 appointments he seemed very positive and friendly. The surgery itself went so smooth. I mean, I was under for it, so if I had died on the table and he revived me I may not have known (jk), but it went great! He literally saved my life. And this part might be a bit superficial but I’m a 38 year old single female, so I have to say it… that man has a really nice smile lol. My last appointment was today and I am now infection and kidney stone free. I am actually going to miss not needing a urologist anymore. You are the best, Dr Doak!

I had a high PSA (20.1) and Doctor Doak did a biopsy with his nurse assisting. I can't say enough good things about Doctor Doak. Being a retired mechanical engineer I can relate somewhat to complex procedures, X-rays, and, the use of modern tools (although doctors take it to the next level). Doctor Doak took the time to perform a perfect procedure from my observation. He was very caring, very professional, and most importantly the surgery was clean which in that area of the body is a must. He gets an A+++ from me. Thank you Dr. Doak as I feel you saved my life by what you did. His nurse did an outstanding job during the procedure and even communicated with me prior to the procedure. His nurse gets kudo's A+++ for how nice and professional she was. She was flawless in the operating room from my observation. I would highly recommend Dr. Doak to anyone for oncologist procedures. My condition presented dr. Doak with a challenging situation which he handled in a thoroughly proffessional manner, successfully resolving a problem I suffered with for years. He has my highest recommendation. James Johnson
