Disregards parental concerns
My son was admitted to the hospital for constipation and a backed up bladder. Dr. Koo had come into our hospital room 2 days after we had been admitted. At this point my son was producing very heavy diapers with stool and urine every couple of hours. The laxatives were working and he was emptying everything out on his own. Dr. Koo comes in and is insistent on putting a catheter in my son FOR A WEEK even though he was producing wet, heavy diapers. I pushed back and said I wasn’t comfortable with that since he was emptying everything out autonomously. I even pointed to the wet diapers I had saved for the nurses. Dr. Koo went on to say that he recommends a catheter as a preventative measure as opposed to “stupid” small steps being taken. I was so appalled by his condescending demeanor and a complete dismissal of my concerns as a mother. My son was discharged the next day and my intuition was right. He is fine and didn’t need a catheter. I’m so glad I did NOT take Dr. Koo’s advice.

The first Urologist we were referred to was horrendous. He was aggressive with our then 6 week old, impatient with our questions and concerns, and pushy with the scheduling of surgery. We asked our sons Cardiologist who he would take HIS child to if he had the same issue. (an undescended, non-palpable testicle) He recommended Dr. Koo. From the first visit, when the nurse called him a "gentle giant", to the successful completion of a very complex 2 part surgery, this man was extraordinary.

My son had cryptochidism when he was born. His testes weren't descended and we were really worried for hi. Thanks to our pediatric doctor from Riverside pediatrics Secaucus, NJ they recommended Dr Harry Koo. Doctor Koo looked into my son's case and he corrected his condition and also treated hernia that he found at the time of surgery. The surgery went very well :) and I can't thank enough, Dr Koo you are a blessing! Thank you.

Dr Harry Koo is an extremely experience, fantastic, extremely dedicated , extremely kind, loyal best urologist anyone can have as surgeon and doctor. He treated my 12 year old son who had an undescended testicle , that wasn't noticed at birth, and later performed a second surgery when he turned 14, he made us feel comfortable, prioritize the date when he had such overwhelmed busy schedule and took in consideration the best time to perform the procedure etc.. simply the best surgeon in Jersey

Dr. Koo is very friendly, takes his time to explain everything and is an excellent doctor. However, the waiting time in his office is just terrible. The office staff was not friendly. When I approached the front desk to complain about the excessive waiting time, they just shrugged it off and said the doctor spends time with each patient to thoroughly explain. It's great that he explains and takes his time, then maybe the office should schedule appointments every 20-min instead of every 10-min.
