If you care about your health, do NOT go to her
I've been going to Dr.Sousa since I turned 18 (now 28), and every appt I have left in tears, calling my mom about how awful she is. Every appt I have concerns and she is either extremely dismissive saying 'Well you're too young for that to happen', 'I don't know where you heard that', 'That's normal', etc. She is extremely cold and I am constantly interrupted by her while trying to explain myself. I have complained to her for years about my body not feeling right, this doesn't feel normal, I know something is wrong, and she has done nothing about it. I had surgery last week where I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis; they thought it was potentially cancer. I have been gas lit for years that I'm just a worry wat, and now have a chronic illness. I had to ask for an ultrasound when she told me all my results are normal and it's probably 'a food intolerance'. If this was taken care of years ago I wouldn't have to struggle to have children in this next chapter. Shame on you Dr.Sousa!

Doctor Souza is the worst
She does not have any sense of urgency about one's health matters. my daughter has been suffering from many diff illnesses and still no cure ! have gone through many diff testing many visits to the ER and not one follow up call from her' when calling her office it is very clear that she had no intention of talking to her patients! she has no compassion no care no nothing !

Dr Sousa
My annual exam consisted of her listening to my heart and lungs and no other assessments. When I stated that I see specialists she stated "Wow, you basically see someone in every specialty" as if I did not know that already. The next visit I had, I had been experiencing fatigue for months on end. She was not concerned about it but I asked her to order lab work (cbc w/diff) and was found to be incredibly anemic and was started on iron pills. Every other time I have called the office to see a doctor for an issue that pops up, I am directed to go to urgent care because no one is available. Dr. Sousa also books out months in advance. I had to cancel my last annual exam with her because I had covid and the next time I could be seen was three months later by her NP, who was equally disinterested in my concerns. As someone who works in healthcare, I know quality care when I see it and unfortunately I have not received quality care by this provider or facility. I would not recommend her.

As a new patient I’d hoped for a decent conversation to discuss current concerns, or at the very least the items I had written down on one of their required forms. My appt started 45 minutes late and I didn’t even get a handshake. Instead I felt like I was being quizzed, perhaps I should have written down my entire health history in the event my prior office did not send everything over? I suppose my idea of a new patient appt is incorrect. Shewas also supposed to recheck my BP, she didn’t.

Took off work early to be seen for a UTI. I saw Dr. Souza. She said she would call in the prescription for antibiotics THAT night. As she flew out of the room I followed her to confirm that she indeed called the prescription in and confirmed the correct pharmacy. Even saying " so when I get there they should have it?" She never called it in. Another doctor simply told me she forgot.

Dr. Sousa did not take the time to hear what my concerns were. I felt completely dismissed and that she obviously had more important things to do other than being my doctor. I left with more questions than when I arrived. I will be requesting to be seen by a different provider from now on.
