Absurd charge on bill
Let me start this by saying Dr. Hwang was friendly and professional during the visit. Unfortunately, during the visit, he asked to take a picture of my eye issue with his phone for his records. Makes sense right? This was just a regular android phone, no special eye photography lens attachment (they do exist, but he didn't have one), it took several tries and the picture wasn't very good, but whatever, it is just for records. For the privilege of taking a photo I could have done better with my own phone in a bathroom mirror, I was charged $52, on top of the $172.58 for the 15-29 minute visit. I have no issue paying my a doctor for his work and expertise, so if the visit had just been $235, so be it, but the sheer audacity of trying to charge a patient $50 for a phone camera picture is what led me to leave this mediocre review.

Dr. Hwang was very professional and personable. He carefully explained the issue causing my eye irritation and even showed examples on the computer to make it even more clear. Dr. Hwang was knowledgeable and confident. He was also careful to make sure I was comfortable during the procedure. His staff was excellent as well.

Dr. Hwang did a lower lid surgery on me and I couldn't believe how quickly my eyes healed. I was concerned with how much bruising and swelling there would be and Dr. Hwang was very patient and calming when answering all my questions pre and post surgery. His technique was superb. I am two weeks out and look great. His office staff was amazing as well. I can't recommend him enough!
