Problem is the office not the doctor
I wish I could tell you I had a good experience with Dr. Sievers. My mom previously was treated by him and liked him. But the bigger issues is the office situation. I was very disappointed not in him - in his OFFICE. I called to get an appt for my mom and was told they are waiting for the referral. So I called her GP and they said they had sent the referral. So called Dr. Sievers office back and they informed me that they were having fax issues. Yes in 2024 they are relying on a FAX. I asked when the fax issues would be fixed - they said they hoped later in the day. I called by the next day - still having fax issues. I asked what alternatives I have to help my mom who was in pain and they suggested ER if it was an emergency. Thanks - super helpful. In addition to this frustration, the office line set up with very unhelpful. More often than not you get sent to voice mail. Oh an by the way, his earliest appt would be in a month.

Staff communication is severely lacking.
I didn't get a visit, the office personnel kept telling me she'd tell him my symptoms. This went on for over a week back and forth with no appointment, no instructions for self care. I'm beginning to think she never gave him my info. I ended up in the ER with a UTI in addition to my on going symptoms, I believe caused by my needing to wear a pad for the bloody discharge from my bowels. I called them for follow up as instructed and got her again, no response from Dr. She said he doesn't have openings for a couple of months. I am still coping with this condition, I don't know what to do.

Compassionate and Competent
Went to multiple places over a few years without luck before seeing Dr Sievers. He listened, diagnosed and treated me while even going above and beyond compared to other healthcare professionals. I finally felt relieved to finally have someone help me.

If you like wasting your time & money, not being listened to, and not having your issues resolved this is the guy to see. Over the course of about 6 months I was able to see Dr. Sievers 4 times. First, his office is very hard to locate; it is in a big hospital with little parking options & they don't tell you which part of the hospital it is located in. I was 10 minutes late after waiting a month to see the doctor (the wait time to be seen is over an hour), was already in building but couldn't find office, called them, said I was in there looking but they made me reschedule another month out. The Dr. and staff are rude, the Dr. appeared nervous like he didn't want to do his job, didn't listen, didn't give me much info and saw me for less than 5 mins every appointment. Paid $40 copay every time, , issue never solved. If you don't like your line of work, don't do it , especially when peoples quality of life / health is involved.

My previous gastro doctor changed practices and it was no longer in our "network." It was time for my 5 year checkup so I had to find a new doc. I was very satisfied with Dr. Sievers and the care and treatment I received. I had the procedure done at Western Reserve and the staff there was top notch as was Dr. Sievers. I would definitely recommend him if you need to have one of those dreaded procedures done. He made it easier.

When you are having issues that need dealt with you go to see him and he will tell you to come back in 2 months. In the mean time you continue to suffer with a serious issue then in 2.months. He puts you off for another 2 months then a procedure is another month. I'm the mean time you are half dead and very weak
