Saved me and my husband
I was diagnosed with UC almost thirteen years ago. I went to another “doctor” and she put me on the write treatment. I was hospitalized and almost died until Dr. Tabbaa walked in. He’s an incredible doctor and person. I wouldn’t here if it wasn’t for him. We even named our daughter after him. 12 years later and my husband started having symptoms. Dr. Tabbaa fit him in immediately and diagnosed him with UC. Rare but it happens. He started him on treatment and six months later, my husband is going to the bathroom half a dozen times instead of a couple dozen. Treatment takes time, but Dr. Tabbaa and Gabriella (the most amazing nurse practitioner). Trust Dr. Tabbaa with your life. He’s saved both of ours.

He gave up
I was diagnosed with crohns by him and heard he was the best. For 6 years after a surgery i complained of my stomach hurting and symptoms of a flare but i wasn’t flaring. He gave up on me. I went to the ER after unable to eat and losing 20 pounds in a month and a CT scan showed inflammation or infection. Antibiotics helped. But his assistant called me and politely told me it was all in my head. I had SIBO. He failed to keep treating me after i initially had it. He failed to even test me. I no longer have stomach pain, I’ve had semi normal BMs after treatment. I was told to take probiotics when that would’ve hurt me more. I feel like he’s become more concerned with quantity of patients over quality of care. I lost out on so much when i just needed him to cover bases. These doctors work for us, don’t stay with one if you’re not being listened to.

Dr. Tabbaa is without a doubt the best community-based GI in Northeast Ohio. His NP Gabriella is also very knowledgeable and caring. I’ve recommended family and friends to Dr. Tabbaa as well.

This man is so kind and personable. I had confidence in him as my physician recommended him very highly, and then he made tests that normally we dread as easy as possible. Answered all of my questions patiently.

I was referred to Dr. Tabbaa by my PCP to consult a positive Hep C blood test. checked in and was taken for wt. & blood pressure and then escourted to an exam room. After 42 an ass't. came in and asked me questions whose answers I had given to the 1st nurse. About 4 after her departure the Dr. entered the room. He didn't even sit down. He told me he was sending me for a more extensive blood test. The entire time he spent w/me was 2. So much more to say but no space. I won't go back.

Saw him for what I think is IBS. My first apt lasted a grand total of 10 min. He ordered a colonoscopy. $ 600 later colonoscopy came back OK and then he told me I needed a high fiber diet (which I already do.) I still had extreme gut pain so I came back. The 2nd apt lasted a grand total of 2 min and he told me I was looking too much into my symptoms & ordered a bunch of tests. Came in for test not knowing I needed to fast so I had to reschedule. Still no relief, just aggravation. So done.

Ive been going to North Shore for 15 years. I used to get excellent care. Now when I go in for an office visit I dont get to see Dr Tabaa, only his nurse. Recently I had a bout with Crohns so I went in for a visit, they scheduled lab tests and a colonoscopy which I did. I called asking for a refill in my prescription this week and they told me to get more labs done and come in for an office visit with his nurse again. My opinion is they just want more money from me and my insurance company.
