Upon arrival, the overall care of the staff was on another level. From intake all the way through prep, everyone felt at ease and knew exactly what their role was for my colonoscopy. They walked me through each step and made me feel seen and taken care of. Dr. Naem came in with great energy and made sure I knew who he was and what was going to happen. I could tell that he selected his team very intentionally. The procedure itself felt like a nap. Great service and a great experience throughout! Highly recommended.

Dr. Naem is the kind of doctor that cares about your health as much as you do. Both him and his team offer clear explanations, exceptional care, and therapy options tailored to you as an individual. I am very thankful I made the switch to North Shore as my gastroenterologist and highly recommend Dr. Naem! This year started as a wild rollercoaster of emotions, but with his care and guidance I am well on my way to recovery from a number of ailments that have pestered me for many years.

Dr. Naem is truly the best doctor I have ever worked with. I was in pretty rough shape when I was first seen by him last year and it was a very scary situation dealing with Crohn's disease. He did not waste any time getting me started with proper treatment and he went the extra mile to get the right medication that he knew was best for me. I am happy to report that as of today I am officially in remission! I think it's rare to find doctors that are so compassionate for their patients, not just say they are, but actually demonstrate it and I believe he is saving and impacting peoples lives every day. I visited Dr Naem after years of gastrointestinal issues. He was proactive and showed genuine compassion regarding my health. I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and he promptly started me on a medication that completely changed my life and health. Not only is Dr. Naem great but the rest of his staff are lovely and communicative. They have always followed up and checked in following appointments and procedures. My quality of life has improved because of Dr Naem and I would recommend him to anyone.

I've known Dr. Naem for almost 3 years now and I have to say he is the most down to earth doc you will ever meet. Talking to him is like talking to one of your friends. He is super smart and great at what he does. He actually cares about every single one of his patients and truly wants to help you feel better. I would recommend him to all my friends and family. Dr.Naem has been my doctor since 2018. He has literally saved my life and was very clear he understood my diagnosis and how to fix it right from the start. I can be a very stubborn person when it comes to doctors because in the past I had a terrible gastro doctor that did nothing but pump me with pills. But Dr. Naem did exactly what he said he would do and that is help me so I wasn’t sick anymore and could live a normal life. Because of him I’m in deep remission for multiple years. He has excellent bedside manners and is always available if you have any questions. Super cool dude and makes you feel like you been buddies for a long time. He’s staff is excellent as well. If you need a doctor don’t even bother looking anywhere else. This guy knows his stuff! Thanks for everything Doc.

I have been dealing with Crohn’s Disease since I was 18 years old. In that time I have had to have a complete colectomy and was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. I’ve had years of learning how to live with the pain and complications that come along with Crohn’s… until Dr. Naem! From my fist visit on he listened to my concerns. He learned my complete complicated history. He worked through many different and complex medications. He never gave up. As of today, for the first time EVER, my Crohn’s disease is in REMISSION! I never thought that was possible, but here I am in full REMISSION and feeling amazing! I owe it all to Dr. Naem and his commitment to my health. Thank you Dr. Naem for your brilliant mind and your kind heart. You never gave up on my health, even when I had lost hope you showed me that there is always another way. Healthy IS possible. You just need the right doctor!

Dr. Naem literally saved my life! After I had unexplained symptoms that were undiagnosable after a colonoscopy, he ordered blood work and a CT scan - I had a gastric tumor! If it weren't for him, things could have been very different for me. Thank you, Dr. Naem, I will always be so grateful for your wisdom and intuition!!

Dr. Naem was recommended to treat my 19 year old son due to suspicions of Crohn's Disease. Sadly, the symptoms of Crohn's were quite advanced, having gone misdiagnosed for a few years by other doctors (outside of Cleveland Clinic). Dr. Naem has an exceptional teamwork approach with his fellow doctors and nurse practitioners to ensure the most efficient and comprehensive diagnostic and treatment approach possible. My son responded to Dr. Naem's treatment immediately (after many other doctors' unsuccessful attempts to treat symptoms and recommend surgery that could have been quite harmful). Dr. Naem and the NPs in his practice are always available with timely answers to questions. They had to take extra steps to gain insurance approval for an essential medication, and were persistent and successful in their efforts for which we are truly grateful. Dr Naem has true affection for his patients and helping them return to the most active and vibrant lives possible.

I'm very very glad I've been seeing Dr. Naem - I started seeing him six months ago while I was deeply sick from various Crohn's disease-related symptoms, and now I've gotten into remission. I'm not kidding when I say my health is better than it's been in years because of his help. I'm very lucky to be seeing him. Particular thanks for: a) helping clear insurance approval for infliximab, b) helping offer insights at each turn, and c) being a generally good person who is really easy to speak to. I've never felt like I wasn't being listened to at an appointment with him, and that's one of the things I value tons.

Dr Naem is very down to Earth and easy to talk to. He changed my treatment for Crohns and I am now in remission. Definitely I would recommend him and North Shore Gastro team.

Dr. Naem is very personable and shows sincere concern about my unique health situation. He listens to what I have to say and answers all of my questions. He shows confidence in his treatment plan and today I was able to see successful results! My colonoscopy showed that my Crohn's disease is in remission! This good news and Dr. Naems' "high five" made my day!

My first experience with a gastroenterologist; I searched for a doctor within my insurance network and found Dr. Naem -- his patient reviews convinced me enough to schedule an appointment for a preventative procedure. Dr. Naem was very down-to-earth as well as professional. He was very thorough for both the consultation and the procedure. His staff was very friendly, caring and compassionate. I highly recommend Dr. Naem and his wonderful staff!

He is amazing. Very personable and passionate for the work he does. He has been my first and only experience with a gastroenterologist and I couldn’t be happier. His team is also amazing they are kind and empathetic. If you are in Ohio and need a gastroenterologist, Dr. Naem is the man. I have Crohn’s disease but today was told that I am in remission! Dr. Naem and his whole team are amazing. I've been thru many GEs and could never find one who made me feel like I was an active part of my treatment plan. It was always a "take this medication or go somewhere else" approach. Not with Dr. Naem. He took the time to listen to me, even though I'm sure it was frustrating at times. It took some time to find a medication "cocktail" that was effective for me, but every office visit, every colonoscopy, I felt like Dr. Naem listened to my thoughts and my wishes and we moved forward in a direction that we both liked. In addition to Dr. Naem, you also get his whole team. Lola is amazing at her position and always takes the extra time to help deal with my insurance company, or to find emergency medication when said company screwed up. Her quick response to questions or issues is very much appreciated these days. Can't recommend them enough.

This experience stood out... for a good reason. Dr. Naem was thoughtful, considerate and willingly took the time and care to help make me comfortable with an unexpected diagnosis. He thoroughly explained all options and treatment plans. Follow up has been straightforward and easy with prompt responses. Also, clearly up-to-date on treatments, etc. If there is such a thing as “world class care”, this would be it.

I am 29 years old and having Dr. Naem as my specialist, he really put me at ease, treated me with great care, and went above and beyond to ensure I had peace of mind during my health journey. He is very nice, professional, relatable, and did well in explaining my care and conditions. His team is upbeat, caring, and very hospitable.
