Dr. Smith delivered my second child only because he was on call that night for Riverview Physicians He was not my doctor. I will never go back to Riverview again because of him. After I gave birth he was stitching me up and he was incredibly rough. I kid you not, it felt like he was pounding his fist into me. He saw me wincing and squeezing my husbands hand so he decided to tell me, "time to put your big girl panties on". My husband said it was everything he could do not to punch him in the face. I don't know if he didn't like that I wasn't thin or if he didn't like that he was called in at 4:30a.m. or if he doesn't like mom's who don't take epidurals but those are the only reasons I can think of that he decided to be so damn mean. My mom was there and works as a director of one of the floors at Southside Regional. She wanted to report him, i really wish she had.

I had made an appointment. The receptionist was extremely nice. She suggested that I talk with a nurse. I ended up cancelling the appt *BECAUSE* of the nurse. She completely dismissed me. I've been a nurse for 20 years; and, I would NEVER treat my patients as she did to me on the telephone. She suggested that I apply a warm pack and if things didn't resolve, call back. What do you think I've been doing for 6 wks? Not to mention lymph nodes are swollen. Two thumbs down.
