Dr. Celeste Thomas, MD

I went to her about 8 or 9 years ago and still think about how awful every encounter was. My mom, who was very concerned about her young daughter's debilitating pain, would advocate for me during appointments asking for tests (I was in so much pain that talking itself was exhausting; she also commented about how I had no personality). Dr. Thomas basically accused her of munchausen by proxy, basically saying 'is that the disease you want her to have?' Went to another rheumatologist, who is great and listened to me. Turns out I have ankylosing spondylitis. Because that doctor listened to me, I am now practically back to my outgoing self. I still can't believe that I had encounters like this with this doctor; she made me feel like I was going crazy.

Trying to make a appt with Dr Celeste Thomas, is she retired. No one is answering the phone. Does anybody know anything?

I have been to Dr. Thomas twice due to two separate problems. She literally left me in the floor when I collapsed telling my husband she will be fine. Don’t walk. RUN

Dr. Thomas was able to stabilize my condition where as 2 previous doctors were not. After over a year in constant pain and regular flare ups. She is very no nonsense, but listens and checks your joints thoroughly. I'm very happy with her.

I really like Dr. Thomas, she can be straight forward but she's honest with you and tells you the TRUTH. I love her bedside manner, she's smart, personable, down to earth and trustworthy. I'm glad I found her she's one of my fav's.

Worst experience of my life with Dr. Celeste Thomas. On 2/12/18 I had my first appointment with Dr. Celeste. I was in so much pain and she was very careless about it. She was very sarcastic and rude. Kept playing a question game. I was in pain and the only reason i didn’t leave is because i was due for blood work and because i thought she could really help me feel better. I left feeling worst.

Dr. Thomas is a very knowledgeable Rheumatologist and has a great bed-side manner. I have actually already recommended her to two persons whom i love and would not chance sending them to the wrong Dr. She really listens, and explains conditions, and treatments very well, never talking down, nor making me feel like she doesn't have time for discussion. She lacks the "God Complex" some Drs maintain, which is refreshing.

I love Dr Thomas and her entire staff. They have gotten me through many rough days.

I absolutely love everything about Dr. Thomas! When I describe her to anyone I say. "She is a good down to earth very smart country Dr; For example visualize yourself on a long wide porch of a white country ranch style home; Overlooking a field of horses & you sitting on a wooden swing with her sipping on a tall cold glass or a hot cup of your favorite. Talking with her about your medical condition & you just know you're in the right place for the right answers. I wish more Dr's could do that.

Awesome doc. Really.

She is very laid back and easy to talk to. She didn't talk down to me nor did she talk way above me. She seems very well educated and up-to-date on the latest medical information, at least on the topic I came to her to discuss. My only complaint would be the wait time; however, I loved not feeling that my appointment (once I got in) was at all rushed. Just remember to take a book!
