Very personable and listens
Dr. Hegarty has been my endocrinologist for 9 years now. Although sometimes my appointments are "by the book" in terms of the information that she asks, I have never felt rushed or not heard. She is very knowledgeable but also personable, and I don't feel like I am just another number on her to-do list for the day. I appreciate her care and thoughtfulness!

Dr. Hegarty cares for my diabetic elderly mother after she moved back to Western Mass from Michigan. She and Jackie, her nurse, have been very understanding, compassionate and collaborative in understanding the needs of an elderly patient and considering quality of life issues.

I have been with Dr. Hegarty since I was diagnosed with diabetes (over 10 years). She is wonderful in her explanation of what is happening with you and your medication. She is patient and kind. I am leaving the area and will miss her. I hope I find another doctor as good as her. Dr. Hegarty is the best in the area!

Dr Hegarty took her time and asked many questions regarding my health before and after the thyroid tumor was discovered. Then she examined my thyroid and discussed my options and did not rush me. I am confident she was on point, and I will be well taken care of. I did not leave there feeling I needed a second opinion. I would refer her to a friend.
