She is originally from Waco, Texas, but moved to Fort Worth, Texas for college. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from TCU in 2004 with a degree in Chemistry. She was inducted into the national honor societies Phi Beta Kappa and Mortar Board. Dr. McIntosh had an amazing opportunity to live and study in Paris, France at La Sorbonne- University of Paris in 2002. Although she is not a Houston native, she has been happy to call Houston home for the past 15 years. Originally from Greenville, TX, a small town in East Texas, she knew very early on that she wanted to be a physician and care for families. After graduating high school, she attended Rhodes College in Memphis, TN earning Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and the Biology Honor Society. During her time in Memphis, she enjoyed volunteering at St. Jude's Children's Hospital. She also spent time at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital where she participated in an undergraduate pediatric internship, as well as outside research in infection disease with a focus in RSV. In 2004, she relocated to Houston, TX to pursue her medical doctorate at The University of Texas Health Science Center Houston. During medical school she participated in teaching through the JAMP undergraduate pre-med program with a focus in embryology.
