Worse post surgery care of any physician group
If you want quality post surgery care - you definitely do NOT want to have a procedure done with this group!! You can’t get anyone on the phone, if you leave a message someone MAY call you the next business day. The recording on their voice mail encourages you to use “My Chart” online for communication. I have left 3 written messages over the past 3 days on that portal but have not had any type of response. I contracted MRSA earlier in the year from another surgery and am afraid that may be happening again. I saw my Physical Therapist today and she encouraged me to have the incision checked by my orthopedic doctor, PA or a nurse. Because I couldn’t get anyone on the phone at McLeod Ortho , I decided to drive directly to the office. I was told by a nurse there that the Ortho offices are closed today for moving and to call back Monday (4 days from Now) or to go to an Urgent Care! Unacceptable, especially since I have been trying for 3 days to notify them of this issue!!!

Seacoast Orthopedics office
Office does not return phone calls or give messages to person to return call. Sometimes no one even answers the phone there at all. Left numerous voicemails mails for surgery scheduler who never returned call to schedule surgery. That should have been my sign. The hospital staff is aware of this person not calling patients back as many patients have complained to them, as was told to me by anesthesia. The answering service has untrained staff. They say they are not allowed to page a provider regarding any medication issues or questions. Asked repeatedly if they could just cpHe someone for me so I can discuss dosages. They refused. Office did not return call following Monday after initially telling me someone would get back to me later that day. They did not. Waited an hour and a half for a callback after hours another time and just went to the ER. Other office staff also do not follow through. Like the doc, but will not use in future due to office.

I was in to see the specialist. I spent more time having my knee touched by the x-ray technicians than by the specialist. I have since had an MRI (which I requested-only to be denied) and discovered I have an injury to my cartilage which may require additional surgery. So, makes ya' wonder if he had done a thorough exam, this might have been discovered over a month ago. Hmmm. Should listen more to patients that other doctors who claim "its arthritis". Find another doctor to see.
