Do not go to this office!
I was referred to Dr. Mahood by a friend and while thought she was ok, the entire staff in this office is beyond rude and they dont care that they are. When you first walk in, they yell from across the room asking if you have covid symptoms. How about you wait until the patient comes to the desk to sign in BE JUST A LITTLE DISCREET!! I am brand new the area, just moved here. I didnt expect the welcome wagon but how about a hello and nice to meet you…nothing. Rudeness all around for 3 appointments. During my first appt Dr. Mahood did say nice to meet you. I looked at her and said, how nice your the first person in your office that has said that!Last straw, I had two appointments scheduled. I needed to reschedule, I gave ample time. When I called, I got the big sigh, the gal was annoyed. I had had enough. I politely told her to cancel both, I’ll be moving on. Dr. Mahood and management - you should take these reviews seriously. Your losing patients. Do you care??

Worst Dr. I have ever seen in person
This woman has a temper and will fire you as her patient if you ask too many questions or don't want to do exactly what she says. It's her way or the highway. I left her one star because it won't let me leave zero.

Been going to Dr Mahood for 10 years. Fortunately I am in relatively good health and my checkup visits are scheduled every six months. She has been fine but again, I haven't had any medical issues. During my last visit she noted that I have not scheduled a Medicare annual 'wellness' visit. I never do 'wellness' visits or Flu shots. I expressed that I didn't feel the need for the visit. She then explained why the visit was important and that Medicare would pay the entire cost. I thanked her for her input, but explained that I would pass on the visit. She then explained that it was important to her that her patients do everything possible to remain healthy and that I would need to get the wellness visit if I were to remain her patient! After one more time trying to convince me, she fired me as her patient. Her outrage about me not conceding to her was kind of funny, but also disappointing. I asked her; 'what about my body, my choice?'. It didn't go too well after that.

Wrong diagnosis
By my 3rd visit I realized this person must have graduated last in her class. She diagnosed me incorrectly and thank the Lord I went to a new doctor, who diagnosed me correctly and basically saved my life.Dr. Mahood is not a very good doctor in my opinion.

Disappointed with Dr Karen Mahood. I did not feel that she listened to concerns nor did she do a thorough annual exam. Not pleasant to me or my husband

One star only because I couldn’t leave 0
I gave this practice multiple tries over a 3 year span. Loves doing annual EKG’s. Must get $$ from insurance companies for that. No eye contact. No empathy. Staff no better. Don’t waste your time at this practice.

Scheduled a physical with Dr. Mahood and was told they require 2 visits, a new patient visit as well as the physical visit. I went for the new patient visit and was asked numerous questions by a nurse saw the doctor for a couple minutes and was told to schedule blood work and my next visit. The first visit charge was $150 which insurance covered $46.80. My insurance has a physical benefit so I assumed my next appointment would be covered as that appointment. Went to the second appointment and was told my cholesterol was high and I need medication. Dr. Mahood coded the second appointment as a Level 4 office visit because of the cholesterol and I was charged $140 which $34.39 was covered by insurance. I called the office inquiring about the charge and why this visit wasn't coded as a physical and was told that Dr. Mahood would not change the visit code. I never took my clothes off for either visit, the nurse did pulse and blood pressure and the doctor listened to my lungs, presse

I regret ever taking my mother to her. She and her nurse were very rude, uncaring and made my mother so uncomfortable that she will never go back. Because of pain my mother is having, an MRI is being ordered, but until the office can schedule it no instructions regarding work, (she is on her feet all day), no offer of a doctors note or anything. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. My mother has seen her twice and first visit was very lukewarm and I had to push and ask questions etc. I wasn't there the second time and as a result my mother was treated as if she wasn't important and as if she was taking up the doctor and her nurses time.

Sent me for CT scan due to burning pain at the base of my neck and when I called to find out results was told that I needed to come to office for results as they don’t give them over the phone. I was never told I could access the results on their portal. Saw the doctor for 2 minutes and then they tell me they are charging me for office visit ($105). Time for new doctor cause this one is obviously all about the $$

Dr. Mahood has been my Family Physician for a number of years .now And I'm quite particular about my doctors. She is thorough, friendly, doesn't mind lots of questions and spends all the time needed when you question something she says. I like that she is quite cautious in the use of antibiotics. When I need to be seen between appointments I can always see her same day I call. Another thing I appreciate is the full staff is friendly and approachable.

A family doctor that doesn't feel the need to touch you. Everything is here is an antibiotic and a steroid shot. Sad part is the antibiotic she put me on is not a first line one but one when all else fails. She strongly suggested a steroid shot. Within 24 hours loss use of one arm. Find out that there is a red box warning not to mix the two drugs she gave me. After months of pt have use back but muscles still spasm.

Went to Dr Mahood because I was having severe abdominal pain. She ordered some diagnostic studies... wouldn't give me the results over the phone, (which really worried me) So when I went back for a follow up appointment, she wasn't sure why I was there. Figured out it was to discuss results, which I discovered were abnormal, but when I asked what I should do to be proactive she bluntly stated "I take it you need pain medicine." I had never been so insulted or belittled. Still have no answers!
