Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Dr. Andrew Parker was drawn to orthopaedics out of a desire to help people of all ages regain lost function and return to the activities or sports they enjoy. After earning a BS in Biology and Chemistry from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Dr. Parker returned to his hometown and graduated magna cum laude from medical school at the University of Louisville. He then moved to Chicago where he completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Northwestern University. Dr. Parker concluded his formal medical education by completing a fellowship in sports medicine at the Baylor Sports Medicine Institute in Houston, Texas. Fascinated by the technical aspects of his specialty, Dr. Parker likes the challenges of the ever-changing field of orthopaedics. He especially enjoys the doctor-patient relationships that he has developed because he feels most orthopaedic patients are ``motivated and proactive about their recovery.`` As an active and respected participant in many professional medical organizations, Dr. Parker has delivered numerous presentations and educational seminars at orthopaedic conferences around the country. Currently, Dr. Parker serves as a team physician for the Washington Redskins. He also has significant experience in the area of sports medicine having cared for athletes from the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Blackhawks, and Northwestern University. Additionally, he served as team physician for DC United and he served as assistant team physician for the Houston Texans, Houston Astros, and the University of Houston while doing his fellowship.

Dr. David Lee specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery. He chose orthopedic surgery because, by studying and mastering the incredible complex anatomy of the musculoskeletal system, he could help people return to their normal form and function. His goal as an orthopedist is to get patients back to doing the activities they love and to help them live pain-free. We have many treatments options to offer patients, including therapy, injections, and surgery, if needed. Most of all, Dr. Lee looks forward to forming meaningful relationships with his patients, answering their questions, and involving them in shared decision making. In his free time, Dr. Lee enjoys traveling with his wife, hiking, running, and cycling.

Intrigued by the constant challenge to stay abreast of the latest technologies and procedures within the orthopaedic specialty, Dr. Aguiar enjoys interacting daily with patients and using his surgical skills to improve patient disabilities. Dr. Aguiar has tailored his practice to include primarily sports medicine and adult knee and shoulder reconstruction. With extensive experience in total hip and knee replacements, Dr. Aguiar's special interests also include arthroscopic shoulder instability repair, ankle arthroscopy, and total knee replacements.

A native Virginian, Dr. Amanda Trucksess attended The College of William and Mary where she was a member of their Division I swim team. With a strong interest in athletics as well as human biomechanics and physiology, Dr. Trucksess graduated cum laude with a major in kinesiology. She went on to earn her medical degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond where she was named to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Following medical school, she completed a four year residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (known as physiatry) is a sub-specialty of medicine that focuses on the restoration of function and the non-operative treatment of nerve, muscle, and bone disorders. Dr. Trucksess chose this specialty because it allowed her to integrate her interest in human physiology with her passion for patient care.

He is experienced in and has published research on outpatient joint replacement with same day discharge to home. For patients who may not be ready for surgery yet, he offers non-surgical arthritis treatments. He is happy to see patients for second opinions or consultations. Dr. Gogineni lives in Loudoun County with his wife and four kids and their chocolate lab.
