He then moved to Chicago where he completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Northwestern University. Dr. Parker concluded his formal medical education by completing a fellowship in sports medicine at the Baylor Sports Medicine Institute in Houston, Texas. Fascinated by the technical aspects of his specialty, Dr. Parker likes the challenges of the ever-changing field of orthopaedics. Dr. David Lee specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery. He chose orthopedic surgery because, by studying and mastering the incredible complex anatomy of the musculoskeletal system, he could help people return to their normal form and function. His goal as an orthopedist is to get patients back to doing the activities they love and to help them live pain-free. We have many treatments options to offer patients, including therapy, injections, and surgery, if needed. Most of all, Dr. Lee looks forward to forming meaningful relationships with his patients, answering their questions, and involving them in shared decision making. Since his mother was a family medicine physician and his father was a civil engineer, Dr. Lorenzetti studied bioengineering in college. He thinks orthopedics is a perfect combination of engineering and medicine that allows people to get back to their active lives and activities that they enjoy. He thinks it is very rewarding taking away someone's pain or restoring their range of motion so they can be back playing with their children, golfing, skiing or whatever they wish to do.Dr. Lorenzetti loves to be active and to be outdoors: he enjoys skiing and snowboarding in the winter and hiking, rock climbing, golfing, and soccer during the summer.
