Dr. Cohen completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn before moving to Miami for his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. He then went on to complete a fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine with the Department of Anesthesia at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.
