Biography: Dr. Steven Kalter is a medical oncologist and hematologist in private practice in San Antonio, Texas with the START Center. He graduated from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his fellowship in medical oncology from MD Anderson Hospital in Houston and completed his fellowship in hematology from Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Kalter is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and oncology.

Biography: Dr. Ronald L. Drengler is a board-certified medical oncologist practicing with the START Center. He completed medical school in 1988, graduating with honors from the School of Medicine of the National University of Paraguay. He completed his internship at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, and his internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. In 1996, he completed his fellowship in medical oncology. He has participated in multiple clinical trials through Southwest Oncology Group, the Minnie Pearl/Sarah Cannon Cancer Network, and pharmaceutical-sponsored studies. He has been named a Texas Super Doctor by Texas Monthly magazine for several years. He has also been named one of San Antonio's Top Doctors in San Antonio Scene each year since the award was established in 2005. He is fluent in Spanish.

Biography: Dr. Surapaneni completed her Hematology/Oncology fellowship training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2020. Prior to this, she completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at the Texas Tech University Health Science Center, Permian Basin in 2017. She received her medical diploma from NRI Medical College, India in 2009.During her residency and fellowship, she was an active participant in both translational and clinical research, she worked on primary brain tumors.Dr. Surapaneni treats both benign/malignant hematology and treats all solid tumor types with a special interest in breast, gastrointestinal cancers and lymphomas.
