Care Philosophy: I am a fellowship-trained orthopedic sports medicine surgeon specializing in the surgical treatment of knee and shoulder disorders. My clinical interests include rotator cuff tears, shoulder arthritis, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears, and meniscus tears. I also offer partial knee replacement which can be an excellent option for patients with severe arthritis in just one part of their knee. I chose this specialty because so many patients say, "I feel like I got my life back," after having surgery; there is nothing more thrilling than hearing that. When treating hip and knee arthritis, I think it is critical to exhaust all nonoperative treatments, and then to work with each patient to decide when it's the right time for them to have surgery. After surgery, I want to help patients get through recovery and rehabilitation as quickly as possible so they can get back to the activities they enjoy.
