Biography: Douglas Songer, MD earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton and his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati. He completed his psychiatry residency at Wright State University (WSU) in 1996 and is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. His current focus is on depression and anxiety disorders, but he will accept patients with a variety of psychiatric disorders. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Dr. Songer currently serves as an associate professor of medicine at WSU and as an assistant professor of psychology at Ohio University.

Biography: Rafay Atiq, MD joined Upper Valley Outpatient Behavioral Health Services in 2006 and is the office's medical director. He is a board certified adult psychiatrist, and he provides both inpatient and outpatient care. He achieved his medical degree in Karachi, Pakistan, and completed his residency program at the Wright State University (WSU) Boonshoft School of Medicine. Since 2008, Dr. Atiq has served as clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the school. In March 2008, He was awarded the NAMI Exemplary Psychiatrist Award. Dr. Atiq is in the office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Biography: Shelden C. Wical, DO is a family medicine physician who earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College Of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. He completed his family practice residency and internship at OUCOM/Doctors Hospital in Columbus, OH.Dr. Wical has been the team physician for Fort Loramie High School athletics since 2009. He is a member of a number of professional societies including: American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, Catholic Medical Association, and Tennessee Osteopathic Medical Association. Dr. Wical is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice in family medicine and osteopathic manipulative treatment.

Biography: Angela Kohnen, MD is a graduate of the University of Dayton and the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Family Practice at the University of Cincinnati/Franciscan Hospital in Cincinnati. Dr. Kohnen is certified in Family Practice by the American Board of Family Physicians. Dr. Kohnen has been with Beavercreek Family Physicians since 1997.
