Biography: Kimberly Stone, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist at Colorado Skin Care in Englewood, Colorado. She specializes in general dermatology with a particular interest in cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Stone received her medical degree from Duke University. While there, she received a Howard Hughes research scholarship before completing her internship in internal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She then completed a three-year residency in dermatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland Hospital and affiliated hospitals. Dr. Stone began her working career in Plano, Texas, before moving to Colorado, where she has been a part of the Englewood Dermatology Center. After practicing alone as a dermatologist for eight years, she expanded her office by bringing on a physician assistant, Amy Huber, PA-C, to assist her with her growing practice. Her office is adjoined to her husband's, who practices oral, maxillofacial, and facial plastic surgery. An active participant at national meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Stone regularly gives presentations to local physicians groups and community groups. Besides being a dermatologist, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Thomas Stone, and their six children. She also enjoys running, doing Pilates, and skiing.

Care Philosophy: I believe that the role of physicians is to educate patients and to help them make the best decisions possible regarding their own care. The idea that physicians know best and should dictate treatment to patients is archaic. Instead, physicians serve as teachers by educating patients about their diseases and their treatment options and helping patients select the best treatment for their situation. I focus my clinical practice on patients with cancers of the blood (lymphomas, leukemias, and myeloma). I emphasize to patients the importance of participating in clinical trials whenever possible both to ensure that they are receiving the most up-to-date, cutting-edge treatments for their diseases and to help advance the field of oncology. ??

Care Philosophy: Research proves that patient outcomes are better when the patient is involved with their care, which is why I strive to engage with my patients and respect their preferences. I want to ensure they understand the disease, their diagnosis, treatment options (including clinical trials), and the goals of their treatment. I tailor treatments based on disease state and biology and coordinate patient care with other physicians and medical personnel (like social workers and genetic counselors) so the patient has seamless care.

Biography: Dr. Adrienne Stewart, MD is a board-certified dermatologist who is passionate about helping people feel comfortable in their own skin. She has 29 years of experience helping people with their medical and cosmetic dermatological needs. She's always on top of the latest developments in skincare and offers her patients the newest, proven treatment technologies to improve their lives. Skin is the largest organ in the human body; it affects people's self-confidence, personality and ability to enjoy life. Dr. Stewart loves improving her patients' lives by taking care of their skin care needs and developing personal relationships with her patients. At Aesthetic Surgery and Dermatology of Cherry Creek, she also sees medical dermatology patients for everything from complete body checks, to in-office cancer surgeries, acne, warts and rashes. Many times a patient will come in for a cosmetic treatment and Dr. Stewart will notice a medical problem with the patient's skin and can address that need. Dr. Stewart is convinced that even though many of the procedures and treatments she offers are primarily for cosmetic purposes, they are still medical procedures that should be administered under the care of the most qualified type of medical doctor for skin care - a board-certified dermatologist. Because her mentors and teachers during her medical training had such a big impact on her life and career, Dr. Stewart is passionate about giving back and helping train the next generation of dermatologists. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado and a Clinical Instructor for St. Joseph Internal Medicine Residents.
