Biography: Dr. Thomas Knutson is a board-certified physician specializing in the treatment of knee, shoulder and hip injuries. He attended Loma Linda University School of Medicine where he completed his Medical Degree and Residency in Orthopedics. Upon finishing his residency, Dr. Knutson went on to complete a fellowship in Major Joint Reconstruction at the University of California San Diego. Over his 30 years of experience practicing medicine, Dr. Knutson has helped countless patients heal musculoskeletal injuries. He finds great satisfaction in stabilizing broken bones and restoring worn-out joints allowing his patients to get back to their normal activities. Dr. Knutson grew up in Columbus, Wisconsin and moved to California to complete his medical education. Biography: Dr. Brad Cohen is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in sports related injuries and joint replacement surgery. In addition to his residency training in Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Cohen has advanced Fellowships in both arthroscopy and sports medicine, with an emphasis on minimally invasive procedures. (His fellowship emphasized arthroscopic cases involving predominantly knees and shoulders. ) Dr. Cohen also served as a Chief Resident at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston performing joint replacement surgery. Dr. Cohen has been practicing Orthopedic Surgery in San Diego since 1998. He serves as an active faculty member of the San Diego Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Fellowship. During his career, Dr. Cohen has been involved in the training of over 45 fellows and has extensive experience teaching post graduate surgeons to perform complex procedures including ligament reconstructions of the knees, rotator cuff surgeries, as well as hip, knee, and shoulder replacements. Dr. Cohen is proud to have received many awards over the past several years, including excellence in patient satisfaction at Palomar Pomerado Hospital and within Sharp Community Medical Group. He was recently a Nationally Rated Top Physician. Dr. Cohen is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated with top academic honors and special recognition in Orthopedic Surgery from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Dr. Cohen completed his internship and residency at New England Medical Center, Tufts University, in Boston. He moved to San Diego in 1997 for his fellowship at UCSD, following which he was invited to remain on clinical faculty. Dr. Cohen is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and is an active member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Dr. Cohen lives in Poway with his wife and four children. He is active in the local little league and tennis communities.

Biography: Scott E. Olson, MD, is a board-certified vascular neurologist with additional fellowship training in interventional neuroradiology/endovascular neurosurgery. He specializes in evaluating and treating disorders of the blood vessels of the brain and spinal cord, which can lead to ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke. His expertise includes both medical and endovascular care for individuals with extra and intracranial stenoses, brain aneurysms and vascular malformations, whether congenital or acquired. Dr. Olson is part of the neurovascular team at UC San Diego Health's Stroke Center. He enjoys working with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and nurses who share his passion for treating cerebrovascular disease and providing the highest level of care to patients and their families. As an associate professor in the Department of Surgery, he also instructs medical students, residents and fellows. He has given numerous lectures and co-authored many publications on cerebrovascular disease. He is currently involved in National Institute of Health (NIH) and industry funded research involving ischemic and hemorrhagic cerebrovascular disease. Dr. Olson is a senior member of the Society for Neurointerventional Surgery. Dr. Olson completed his stroke and interventional neuroradiology/endovascular neurosurgery fellowships at UC San Diego School of Medicine. His focus was on new, image-guided, minimally invasive therapies and he was one of the first neurologists in the country trained in this emerging field. He completed a residency in neurology at The University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, Ariz, where he was selected for his clinical and leadership abilities to serve as chief resident. Dr. Olson earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He is board certified in neurology and vascular neurology. Outside of work, Dr. Olson enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his family. In addition to the location above, Dr. Olson also sees patients in Rancho Bernardo.
