Care Philosophy: Dr. Eubanks is a board-certified general surgeon and has been Director of Academic Surgery at Florida Hospital since 2010. He attended the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham and was trained in general surgery at Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta. Following, he completed his laparoscopic surgery fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Eubanks was the first Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellow at Duke University, where he also served on the faculty for 10 years. Prior to joining Florida Hospital, he was Professor and Chairman of the Department of Surgery at the University of Missouri and served as the President of Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). Additionally, he has presented, published, developed patents, produced videos and has been awarded or recognized for an unprecedented amount of research in advanced, minimally-invasive surgery and upper gastrointestinal diseases.

Care Philosophy: Anthony V. DeIorio, Jr., MD is a board certified general surgeon with over two decades of experience providing general surgery care. He utilizes the latest techniques and procedures with minimally invasive approaches. He specializes in breast cancer and breast surgery, biliary and pancreatic surgery, and advanced laparoscopic surgery including colon surgery. Dr. DeIorio also provides general surgical care of the gallbladder, hernia, and intestine. Dr. DeIorio treats his patients with dignity and encourages his patients to be actively involved in their health care treatment. In his spare time he enjoys bike riding and wood working.

Care Philosophy: Our practice began in 1967 when Dr. Henry J. Babers and Dr. Charles E. Lore formed a surgical team. This team approach prevails today as our team of eight surgeons provides care for the greater Gainesville and North Central Florida area. We strive to take care of the patient's physical illness, but we also thrive to address any emotional or social aspects coming with his illness. As surgeons, we inflict pain by our measures. We aim to manage the pain to the patient's satisfaction with the help of our colleagues, nurses and assistant medical personnel. Failure to do so will delay patient recovery and satisfaction.
