We met during training at Duke University Medical Center. We have three children and enjoy spending as much time with them as possible. I enjoy being outdoors and spend a lot of time hiking on nature trails. I also enjoy baking with my kids. As a Formula One racing fan, I love cheering for Max Verstappen and the Red Bull racing team.

During her residency in 2012 she did a research project on how robotics is changing resident education and received the A.W. Diddle Award from the University of Tennessee for her outstanding research. In 2013 she received an award for excellence in pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. Married to Marquis Hopkins, she has three children including a set of twins. She saw the importance of the doctor-patient relationship during her own pregnancy as well as the variety of seeing patients in the office as well as surgery.
