Biography: Sheela Barhan, MD, is a graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago, IL. Dr. Barhan is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Barhan specializes in obstetrics and gynecology. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for women, with a special interest in menopause. Dr. Barhan is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. She is a member of American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO), and the Menopause Society. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Barhan enjoys traveling and cooking.

Biography: Lisa Mix, CNM, MS serves as a certified nurse midwife at Women's Health Specialists & Midwives of Dayton. She completed her nursing degree Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing and earned a bachelors of science degree in nursing from the Indiana Wesleyan University. She earned her certificate of nurse midwifery and a masters of science in Midwifery at the Institute of Midwifery, Women and Health in Philadelphia. She has served as a level 3 labor and delivery nurse and a staff nurse in trauma and emergency. Lisa has been with Women's Health Specialists since April 2000. Lisa was one of the original Family Beginnings nurses and the founding midwife of our practice with Dr. Guy. She is also certified in Electronic fetal monitoring. Her special interest is in menopausal management and compounded HR. Lisa is accepting new patients.
