Biography: Eileen de Grandis, M.D., RPVI, FACS, is a board-certified vascular surgeon at BocaCare | Vascular Surgery, a part of Baptist Health South Florida. She specializes in the diagnosis and management of aortic disease, peripheral artery disease for limb salvage, cerebrovascular disease, hemodialysis access, as well as comprehensive venous and lymphatic treatment. Dr. de Grandis joined BocaCare from Bayfront Health Port Charlotte and Bayfront Health Punta Gorda. During her time there as a lead vascular surgeon, she served as co-chair of the Radiation Safety Committee and provided training, education and enacted safety measures for the staff. During her residency at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. de Grandis served as the administrative chief. She was responsible for managing 75 surgical residents and their training rotations. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed publications, including the Journal of Vascular Surgery and Perspectives in Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy. Dr. de Grandis' goal is to empower and educate patients to understand their medical condition and treatment options. She believes caring for patients is more than performing surgery it's also understanding their history, support network, lifestyle and developing a good relationship with them. When she is not treating patients, Dr. de Grandis enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, swimming, trying new recipes, painting and making costume jewelry.
