A native of Czechoslovakia, after practicing medicine there for a year she made the transition to the American medical system in Charlotte, N.C. in 1999. When she's not working, Dr. Swaim enjoys playing tennis and piano, figure skating and taking ski trips out west. Her favorite place to vacation for her and her children is her home country.
