Care Philosophy: My professional endeavor provides both male and female patients with state-of-the-art solutions to both urological and urogynecological disorders. Practicing in South Florida for over 15 years, urological innovations now provide me with more treatment options than ever before, most of which do not require surgery or medication. Aside from treating all urological conditions, I also specialize in kidney stones, minimally invasive urology, treatment of overactive bladder, and urinary incontinence.

Biography: Carlos Sanchez-Correa, M.D., is a urologist who treats male and female urinary conditions at Baptist Health. He is fluent in English and Spanish. As a urinary tract specialist, Dr. Sanchez-Correa diagnoses and treats complex and recurrent urinary tract infections, incontinence, kidney stones, pelvic floor disorders, erectile dysfunction, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and penile, prostate and testicular concerns. He also cares for patients with bladder, kidney and prostate cancer. Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Sanchez-Correa worked as a urologist for SIMED Health. He completed his medical degree at the Ponce School of Medicine and Health Sciences and urology residency at Louisiana State University. During his residency, he also served as an investigator on a clinical research study that analyzed the cost burden and risk profile of bladder drainage devices in pediatric patients with bladder disorders. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, American Urological Association and American Medical Association. Whether he is working with patients in clinic, researching new treatments or volunteering in his local community, Dr. Sanchez-Correa dedicates his time to improving the lives of others. Through listening and discussion, he strives to help patients make the most informed care decisions so they can meet their healthcare goals. Outside of work, Dr. Sanchez-Correa enjoys exercising, watching movies, and playing ping-pong and basketball. Biography: Dr. Christopher Vendryes, MD is an Urology Specialist who practices in Plantation, FL. He is 46 years old. Dr. Christopher Vendryes, MD is affiliated with HCA Florida University Hospital, HCA Florida Westside Hospital, HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital and HCA Florida Northwest Hospital.

Biography: Dr. Laurel Sofer, MD is originally from Westchester, New York. She completed her undergraduate training at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. She received her BA in Biology and Mathematics, graduating Cum Laude and was selected for Phi Beta Kappa Society. She received her medical degree at Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, Israel. She completed her Surgery and Urology training at the University of Illinois at Chicago in Chicago, IL. She is a member of the American Urological Society and the International Continence Society. Dr. Sofer's clinical interests include the surgical and medical management of male and female urologic disorders, including benign prostatic hyperplasia, sexual dysfunction, incontinence, kidney stones, and voiding dysfunction. She is well trained across all da Vinci robotic platforms (including the newest Single Port system) for the treatment of prostate and kidney cancer, and reconstruction of the urinary tract. She is proficient in all aspects of the minimally invasive treatment of benign urological problems, including laser enucleation of the prostate. Dr. Sofer is a loving mother of two young daughters. In her free time, she enjoys running, cooking, and spending time with her family. She is bilingual in Hebrew and English. She is excited to be joining the Z Urology family and looks forward to bringing her compassionate, high-quality care to the South Florida community.
