After graduating from the University of New Mexico, Dr. Funston received his medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Care Philosophy: Dr. Ross is an advanced gastrointestinal surgeon specializing in robotic and single incision laparoscopic operations for conditions of the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, pancreas, gallbladder and liver. She was one of the first surgeons in the U.S. to offer laparo-endoscopic single site (LESS) surgery and continues to be a thought leader in developing new and improved minimally invasive procedures. She is co-director of the Advanced GI and HBP Surgery Fellowship at the Digestive Health Institute, which trains new surgeons to master minimally invasive complex surgery.

Biography: Dr. Tiffany Jessee is one of the few fellowship trained bariatric surgeons in the state of Florida, which means she has received highly specialized training in bariatric surgery. She is also a Board Certified General Surgeon. Dr. Jessee is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons and holds the designation of Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. In 2003, she was the first surgeon in Pinellas County, Florida to perform the Adjustable Gastric Band surgery and also performed the first minimally invasive robotic gastric sleeve procedure in Pinellas County. Dr. Jessee was awarded the Top Docs Award in Bariatric Surgery by Tampa Bay Magazine in 2019 and in 2020. In 2020 Dr. Jessee performed her 200th robotic procedure.She received her medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in her home state of West Virginia. Dr. Jessee completed her general surgery residency training at Sun Coast Hospital in Largo, Florida. She then traveled to Coral Gables, Florida, where she completed a one year fellowship in advanced laparoscopy and bariatric surgery. Dr. Jessee has been a bariatric surgeon since 2002, and was the first surgeon to place a lap-band in Pinellas County. She serves on the faculty at Nova Southeastern University and provides clinical training for general surgery residents through the educational program at 1205830692. Dr. Jessee is one of the few female surgeons in the world who specializes in bariatric surgery and is known for her kindness and compassion toward her patients. She works with each patient to help them identify and achieve their weight loss goals. Her patients testify that her compassionate approach helps them achieve a happier, healthier lifestyle. Dr. Jessee's primary office is located at Sun Coast Bariatrics in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Care Philosophy: Dr Pimiento earned his MD degree at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He completed a general surgery residency at Saint Mary's Health System/Affiliated Yale University School of Medicine and a Fellowship in Surgical Research in Vascular Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine. He then completed a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology and Advanced Fellowship in Surgical Oncology Research at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr Pimiento joined Moffitt from Mercy Health Partners/Mercy Health-St. Mary's and served as the Medical Director, Surgical Oncology at the Lacks Cancer Center. Dr Pimiento's clinical interest is in malignancies of the upper gastrointestinal tract, including esophageal, gastric, pancreatic, colorectal and liver cancers.
