Born in Maryland, she grew up in Charlotte, NC, and has always appreciated the relationship that doctors establish with patients and their families. ``In hematology/oncology, you get to become a part of your patient?s family,`` she says. She is encouraged as she looks to the future of cancer treatment, with molecular profiling and personalized treatment. ``These advances are pacing the future for a more directed, specific treatment for our patients,`` she says. ``It?s rewarding to work with patients and see them able to spend more time with their loved ones,`` she adds. Dr. Kuthiala says she enjoys most the patients, people, and the family environment while working at Cancer Specialists of North Florida. Outside of work, Dr. Kuthiala enjoys spending time with her children and family, reading, and cooking.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Machado is a board-certified Oncologist and Hematologist with more than 10 years of experience. He prides himself on keeping up with the most advanced and cost effective therapies for cancer treatment. He is an advocate for the early management of discomfort and pain for cancer patients. Although chemotherapy is still frequently employed, he is excited to share new targeted and immunotherapy options with patients. Dr. Machado earned his medical degree with honors at Saba University School of Medicine in the Caribbean and undertook his residency training at the University of Florida/Shands Hospital in Gainesville, where he was named Chief Resident. He obtained his sub-specialty training at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where he completed his Oncology/Hematology fellowship and was named Chief Fellow.
