Care Philosophy: Eric M. Hoenicke, M.D. is originally from Midland, Michigan. He earned his medical degree from The University of Michigan School of Medicine in Ann Arbor, Michigan and completed his general surgery residency at The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. Dr. Hoenicke is board-certified in thoracic surgery and completed his cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Hoenicke is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation, the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery and the Michigan Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. His areas of interest include transplantation, mechanical circulatory support (VADs), robotic surgery, video-assisted thoroscopic surgery (VATS), surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation, mitral surgery, arterial revascularization for coronary arterial disease and surgical treatment of thoracic oncology. Before joining CTVS, Dr. Hoenicke practiced with West Michigan Cardiothoracic Surgeons in Muskegon Michigan.

Biography: Jonathan N. Ginns, MD Dr. Ginns was born in Australia and earned his medical degree from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. He underwent his internship and residency training at Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and following this adult cardiology and adult congenital heart disease fellowships at the Prince Charles Hospital also in Brisbane. Subsequently, he came to the United States to pursue an interventional cardiology fellowship at Bridgeport Hospital, Yale, New Haven Health and then adult congenital heart disease fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center in New York.Prior to joining Austin Heart, from 2017-2020 Dr. Ginns served as Associate Director of Adult Congenital Heart Diseases and Director of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy at Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York. Before joining Weill Cornell, Dr. Ginns was a full-time faculty member at Columbia University Medical Center specializing in adult congenital heart disease and was Director of their Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Program.Through the years, Dr. Ginns' research findings have been published in numerous, prestigious peer-reviewed journals such as Circulation, The Journal of American College of Cardiology, International Journal of cardiology and the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. He is a member of the Adult Congenital Heart Association where he serves on the medical advisory Board, the International Society of Adult Congenital Heart Disease and Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance. He holds board certification in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Adult Congenital Heart Disease and Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance. Dr Ginns special interests include adult congenital heart disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, cardiogenetics, pregnancy and heart disease and advanced cardiac imaging including echo, cardiac CT and MRI.Dr Ginns is excited to work for the Austin community and deliver excellent care to his patients. He enjoys running, cooking and spending time with his wife and two children.

Biography: This physician is accepting telehealth visits. Dr. David Revere is originally from Long Island, New York. He graduated from Stony Brook University with a B.S. degree in Biology and went on the University of Connecticut School of Medicine to obtain his medical degree. Dr. Revere went on to do his residency in Internal Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he was appointed Chief Resident and was awarded Resident Teacher of the Year as a senior resident. He then did his Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at North Shore LIJ Health system, where he was honored with being chosen as Chief Cardiology Fellow. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology, and Adult Echocardiography. Dr. Revere has experience in the diagnosis and treatment of all facets of cardiac conditions and diseases. In his spare time he is an accomplished drummer who continues to enjoy playing regularly in bands, performing on recordings, and in live concerts as well as spending quality time with his wife and two children and his dog.
