Biography: Dr. Nelson was born in Chicago, the youngest of four children and the only daughter. She moved to Atlanta, Ga., as a child. Inspired by her desire to help others and her interest in healthcare, she received her undergraduate education at Emory University, receiving a bachelor of science in chemistry, which paved the way for her interest in medicine. She then attended Sint Eustatius University School of Medicine in the Netherland Antilles, where she obtained a bachelor of science in medicine followed by her medical degree. Subsequently, she completed a four-year residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport. In October 2010, Dr. Nelson moved to our practice at WK Pierremont Health Center. She is a board certified internist (American Board of Internal Medicine), primarily in the outpatient setting. Her focus is establishing a close and professional relationship with each of her patients. She prides herself in giving each patient ample time to provide education, instruction, counseling, and allow time to answer questions and concerns. Dr. Nelson's Puerto Rican roots and fluency in Spanish have been helpful as she has assisted with the management of patients in the Hispanic community in Shreveport and East Texas. Furthermore, she practices evidence-based medicine and strives to keep apprised of the latest therapies. Dr. Nelson is a resident of Shreveport and is happily married to Jason D. Nelson, MD, who also works at WK Pierremont as a hospitalist. They have one child.

Biography: Dr. Jason Milligan grew up in Bossier City and is fulfilling a dream of practicing medicine in his hometown. After graduating from Parkway High School, he obtained his Bachelor's Degree from The Louisiana Scholars' College at Northwestern State University. After he earned his M.D. from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, he also completed residency there and had the honor of serving as chief resident in the Department of Family Medicine. Dr. Milligan chose the specialty of Family Medicine because of his love of getting to know and treat families across generations. While he is skilled in all aspects of family medicine, Dr. Milligan particularly enjoys adolescent medicine, preventative medicine, women's health, and takes a keen interest in diagnosing and treating common skin conditions.

Biography: Dr. Lim received her Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology, as well as her medical degree at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. She interned both at Santo Tomas and the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens in Jamaica, New York. Dr. Lim completed her residency at the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens. She is certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Lim practices alongside her husband, Dr. Kennedy Lim at the WK Bossier Internal Medicine Diagnostic and Treatment Clinic. The couple have four children. She enjoys attending the symphony, travelling, and exercising especially yoga and Zumba.

Biography: Dr. Vo completed his undergraduate work at the University of Rochester in New York and received his Doctor of Medicine from the American University of the Caribbean. Following medical school graduation, Dr. Vo served a residency at LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. He is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. Prior to joining South Shreveport Family Practice in August of 2015, Dr. Vo had experience as an physician with WK Quick Care and had been in private practice in Leesville, La.

Biography: Dr. Mody received an honorary Bachelor of Arts degree from Central High School in Philadelphia, Pa., the second oldest magnet high school in the country. He then graduated summa cum laude from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science degree with double majors in economics and management and double minors in psychology and biology. He completed his medical school at the world-renowned University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine before a five-year residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He specialized in spine with a combined orthopaedic and neurosurgery spine fellowship at the University of Texas and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Dr. Mody received board certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Mody has coauthored numerous scientific and technical publications for noted academic journals as well as presented and lectured at regional, national and international conferences. He has taught his spinal surgery techniques to surgeons from Germany, Tasmania, Australia, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy, Croatia, Austria, Brazil, Mexico, Ecuador, United Kingdom and Malaysia, either at WK Pierremont Health Center or at conferences. In Houston Dr. Mody provided spine and sports care for the Houston Texans and Houston Rockets as well as for the Rice University Owls. In Shreveport, Dr. Mody has provided spine care for the Shreveport Battlewings, Mudbugs hockey, Cavaliers football as well as for other local athletes and celebrities. Dr. Mody is happily married with two children and two dogs. His hobbies include travel, water sports, photography, tech start-ups, cooking, and film.
