Biography: Claudia Maidana-Paz, M.D., F.A.C.P. is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Dr. Maidana-Paz was born and raised in Argentina, where she studied medicine at Universidad del Salvado in Buenos Aires. Then, she completed five years of training at one of Buenos Aires' most prestigious hospitals, Hospital Alemn. After moving to the United States, she continued her training with an internship and internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida. She also served as chief resident at Mount Sinai Medical Center's Miami Heart Institute. Dr. Maidana-Paz's journey into medicine began at a young age. I grew up in a small city, just steps away from the main hospital, where I witnessed a constant stream of patients and their families. My family would often offer small gestures of kindness water, food, or a little help with travel expenses to those waiting for their loved ones. Helping others became second nature to me from a young age," she recalls. "My love for science blossomed early, making the decision to study medicine feel not just natural, but inevitable."She chose to focus on internal medicine because it allows her to care for patients in a comprehensive way, addressing everything from preventive care to chronic disease management. Biography: Telehealth visits are available.Dr. Harmon is a board-certified Urologist and subspecializes in robotic partial and radical nephrectomies and other minimally-invasive procedures. Harmon is highly regarded by his peers and patients for his surgical skills and bedside manner. In 2004, Urology San Antonio's then CEO, a fellow urologist, selected Harmon to perform his successful kidney cancer surgery.As a member at the nation's busiest kidney transplant program at the Texas Transplant Institute, Harmon is responsible for removing kidneys from healthy adult donors. Each week, he performs three to four living donor nephrectomies.Harmon is the medical director of Urology San Antonio and established the practice's post-doctoral laparoscopic fellowship training program. In addition, he acts as a clinical assistant professor for local urology residents, providing hands on surgical instruction.Harmon earned his medical degree at the University of Chicago and completed his internship and residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
