Biography: Dr. Caffrey was born and raised in Kansas City and joined Independence Women's Clinic in 1996. He received his bachelor's degree in health services management from the University of Missouri, Columbia, in 1983, masters in business administration (MBA) from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, in 1987 and obtained his medical degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, in 1992. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Truman Medical Center-West and St. Luke's Hospital in 1996. Dr. Caffrey is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG). He is President-Elect of the Medical Staff of Centerpoint Medical Center and serves on the Board of Directors for the Metropolitan Medical Society. He is also a member of the American Medical Association, Missouri State Medical Society, and the Kansas City Gynecology society. Dr. Caffrey is married and has three children. He enjoys the outdoors.

Care Philosophy: I thoroughly enjoy what I do and feel so lucky to have a job that I love! I work hard to treat every patient as an individual. I want to be a part of the medical decision making and management that each woman undergoes throughout their lives regarding obstetrics and gynecology care. It is exciting and fulfilling to me to help women build their families, but also to be there to give medical advice and guidance to women outside of obstetric health.
