Biography: Dr. Matt Sorensen was born and raised in Melbourne, Florida. He attended The University of Florida and graduated with honors with a bachelor's degree in Biology. He obtained his medical degree from The University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his general surgery internship and urologic surgery training at The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Dr. Sorensen has comprehensive training in advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques, including the use of advanced laparoscopic procedures and the da Vinci robot for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and various other urologic conditions. Further training includes male and female urinary dysfunction, kidney stone disease, urinary incontinence, bladder cancer, and men's health.

Care Philosophy: A strong call to help others inspired Sylvester Onyishi, MD, to become a doctor. Channeling his skills, talents and passion into his work as a urologist, he helps patients of all ages manage or resolve the urological issues holding them back from the activities they love. Dr Onyishi believes the best way to help you is to listen carefully to your concerns while building a strong person-to-person connection. That way, he'll better understand how your health issues are affecting your life and personalize his recommendations. Dr Onyishi received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis and completed his residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Tucson.

He is a noted clinician and researcher with advanced training a in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgery, and he specializes in helping patients who are experiencing kidney disease, urinary incontinence and other complex urological issues. Dr. Kata received his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and completed his residency training in urology and general surgery at SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn.

Care Philosophy: Khaled Shahrour, MD is a board-certified and fellowship-trained minimally invasive urologist who has been practicing for nearly 15 years. His main interests include urologic cancers, medical and surgical management of kidney stones, general urology and minimally invasive surgery including prostatectomy, nephrectomy, and cystectomy. He is also a member of the American Urologic Association, Endourologic Society, and South Eastern Section of the American Urologic Association. Dr. Shahrour believes the best outcome in treatment of urological disorders is the result of a team-based approach and effctive communication with his patients. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and stays active playing soccer, squash and golf. He is also an avid fan of Chelsea Football Club. Dr. Shahrour is also multilingual in English, Arabic, Spanish and French.
